At last I got my SN SS5 but first reflektion is speed.

With exactly same setup as SS4 I got 3 knots less. 38 knots to 35 knots ?!

This feels like a downgrade not upgrade, anyone else got any input on SS5 ?

I have SN SS5 and as SS4 it goes for 40knots.

Try ghosting your BO and trimming your torpedo guys to 1.01 mil torpedo true ability, even SS2 might go 40knots then (with odd sailor setup) :P

You are proof of my point, it should be enough with 2 engys to reach cap since i only have 3 support slots. Subs also need repair, i want to be able to use the gun or even put a seaman on a highend sub.

No other shipclass need to use up all supportslots to get desent speed..

Bought my US SS5 now.

With one 120 lvl highboosted engy i easily reached cap speed in US SS4.

Now I can only reach 37 knots with same setup in Gato SS5.

This is not right or logical thinking from SD. Speeds and momentum (OH) should not be affected when you switch from SS4 to SS5 with same setup and crew.

(SN subs requried 2 engys frpm beginning)

Conclusion they nerfed speed and momentum in SS5 compared to SS4.

According to this logic, i should be able to speed cap Nebraska with same one lvl120 engy that i can speedcap alaska with, right?

Very funny comparing SS with other shipclasses like that. Subs have limited number of supportslots as I explain above.

Do you think its right that ss6 (if this goes on) must fill all support slots (4 engys) to reach cap..
