i can see where you are coming from. but this is my understanding on the current rules. what is that "thing" that makes us all come back to this glitchy, buggy, and frustrating game?? its that thing in the back of your head saying "i want that bb6 or cv6 or ss" or whatever the case is. trading BO's would allow us to give someone else all their time and work for a bb6 or cv6 or whatever and you wouldnt have to do anything. just a few clicks and you got it. no work. no frustration. no nothing, just clicks. now this brings me to another point.. no understanding of the game. now do we really want noob bb6 and cv6 running all around? i can agree with the no BO trading rule because of this one simple fact: it would make the game so much easier and more boring [eventually]. sure itd be fun at first. but after a few weeks itll get old and you will be wishing you had grinded it. if we could trade BO's i think we would loose a lot of potential players because you get on and find out what a large part of the game is all about (bb6/cv6/ss4).

AND you wouldnt have the pride in saying that that bb6 or cv6 or ss is YOURS. your hard work. your sweat. your frustration. your time.

The difference between trading high level sailors and high level BOs is the fact that with a CV6 pilot... you still have to play the game.

You can have CV6 pilots in a CV1 or 2, but you have to grind till CV6. In all that time you learn how to play your ship, you learn what it can and can't do and in the end, you become better. If you get your CV6/BB6 BO as easy as you get a pilot, you loose all this.

Now tell me... do you really want to have a battlefield full of BB6 that play with auto and don't know their angles?

I know it would be fun to trade BOs between high level players, but it is very easy for a new player to get a 120lvl crew... and to prevent them from jumping into a BB6/CV6 without actually playing the game, you have to restrict the trading of BOs.

About selecting a main BO to determine your level. It's an interesting idea.
The only downside I would see about it is people that regret going for one line and end up grinding another. For example, I started with an KM BO... a couple of months later, I started an IJN CV, then a UK Crew, then a US Crew, then another KM BO, and multiple BOs.... The IJN BO was the first to reach 110, the UK BO the first to reach 120, and now after more than 3 years, my main BO (the first yellow one) is stucked in lvl80 as an SS BO. With your system... I would be lvl80 and not 120.

trading BO's can be abused

Fleets could help new players raise bb6 crews, They could take turns passing the crew around so in effect the crew + BO are leveling 24/7 with 3-4 players leveling it. They allready do this by sharing accounts, but its limited because theres the possibility of account theft.

Then you can get rich fleets buying up entire bb6 crews and passing them out to their members

Then you can get resellers who buy up cheap crews and sell them for more, some people have gotten very rich doing this, they could potentially spend more time reselling than actually playing, and they can then just buy entire bb6 crews

Then you can get the CV players, who just play CV all day every day and rake in enough credits to buy a high lvl BB crew, without ever playing BB

Then you can get the item sellers, they are perhaps rich IRL or can afford to spend thousands of dollars. They can item sell like crazy and acquire any crew they want.

Then there are people who got rich from the credit bug

Then there are players who might sell entire crews for real money,through deals done outside of NF

Then there are some people who can trade in 2 crews for 1 bb6 crew

ultimately you will find people will try and buy crews rather than leveling them, it will be easier to buy than to level, and thats why BO's cant be traded, they are a stop gap measure to ensure people keep grinding.
