dont confuse people with polticians, we the people didnt ask for breakup, dont bull me with that, and yes, the southern countries had their own hero but that doesnt mean they wouldnt accept help from another libertador who fought against the spanish empire.

Please ask yourself why we continue to have a military presence there.

(HINT, IT'S BECAUSE ARGENTINA IS A THREAT)

Oil , thats all. and to the other person who replied about this, thats what they do tell you, that not of that oil doesnt come to UK, exactly, because part of that oil is used for their vessels and other military vehicles. now everything makes sence, why the UK doesnt want to give it up, not because of the people living there , just to save money for their military, looking at the oil prices is over 100 dollars they dont need to pay more than that when you have the folkland island with oil, the black gold! thats the only reason they are keeping it, invest money to get more in exchange, make the people happy, as they pay more than receiving, their own oil. Keeping in mind UK is a military power, with high expenses  and some of that expense, during war time, its fuel!! so they say, defend it all cost, so the cost wont take all of us.

Probably you are right is a threat, but of something that will take back, belongs to them.

It is actually quite fun and enjoyable for others mostly to read his strategic thinking. Waging war is strategy is it not? How do you know we aren't just a game? That the world isn't just a game?

you forgot that UK uses the malvinas oil just to maintain their armed forces supplied with fuel in case of another scenario of war against another country. Just with that oil, it helps them to save alot of money, even if they have nuclear ships, the still need to use fuel for other combat vehicles and aircrafts that are not fueled with nuclear energy. now tell me, how much money would you expend in fuel just for your military? knowing the barrels is over 100 dollars?  sure, they say the oil doesnt even get to Uk, but i do see UK military vessels going there, even announced or classified, wondering how many times, they have done that? Probably argentina has been tracking that, not because for their people, just to supplies their troops in conflictives countries with their presence. This is why, they dont want to give it up. Unlike argentina, if they have to use that Oil, they do use equally for everybody. ( Even history tells you more about UK, as a region that has been fighting for decades, and in order to sucess, they most control resources )

Why are we talking about this????

Uk ppl will allways say, they belong to UK.

Arg. ppl will allways say, they belong to Arg.

Just leave him to put what he wants, do the same. Buy a ship and name it Malvinas = ARG.

If our political leaders cant solve this problem, we are not going to do it here.

So, come back to NF, go out with some friends, have sex, get a life and stop wasting time on this..

You are hilarious. Do you not think if we knew Oil existed in the 1980's we would have stationed far more then a handful of Royal Marines?

Oil drilling has just BEGUN, it didn't started in the 80s or 90s, it started in 2012.

We keep a strong force and a routine deployment of a Warship because of the Argentine threat.

Argentina has ramped up it's claims again purely to take off the main focus from its faultering economy. Argentina needs to concentrate on itself instead of getting some countries to gang up on the UK and tell them to give the Falklands back or........well nothing.

@ Silveryn

What on earth are you talking about?
