Billy- Sounded like a cool event and all but it was poorly played out.

1) allowed all level ships and no balance to them.
Effect from this: one side could of had 8 cvs while the other had only 3. Also this cause to have one side have 4-5 times as many bb6's as the other side, etc.

2) There were no level requirements either or ship requirements such as only bb and cv, bb, etc.
Effect: low level cvs were able to play such as a few with 3 silver bars match up against pcvs on the other team. Also rooms would fill to where not everyone could play them. people would be in there with things that could no way realistically actually win it such as aa boats. Also Subs were allowed in. There was 11 subs on one team and three on the other. I know subs arent much to be balanced but 11 vs 3 and their all T4 subs can make a big difference.

I remembered one of the ones I played and we had a graf zep I at level and a 3 silver bar seyditz in the north to scout against their silver medaled ticonderoga. Also Axis had about 4 bb6's where Allies had at least 20+. Tons of SY
s and H44's against Nebbys and Qv's...ya that's fair.

Solution: Should have made it T4 and higher in all ship categories.

@Elliot2lazy I did this event to try to focus on having fun and not to worry about all these little details which you speak of. With 100 players and having them be split up as allies vs axis makes it hard extremely hard to ballance. Yes, I could allow allies and axis to mix but that defeats the purpose of the event. To ballance it as you see fit would be unfair to players because I would have to kick so many ships out of the room and have many players become upset by that. On top of that, the room would take 30minutes plus just to get people to get on the right side to ballance the room when you have 100 players.

Even though the games were not all ballanced players had fun. The teams that lost even had players that won the highest attack despite the unballance. Ballance for me really comes down to a players skill and how can you know everyones skill level? A player that plays a BB6 poorly is no better than say a BB3 with a more skilled player. I think you know what I am getting at.

If you do not like this then you by no means have to take part in them. Feel free to host your own event and ballance it your way and see how complex it can be when you are dealing with 100 players with some that never listen.

With that being said the majority of people had fun during this event and that is what is most important to me. Lastly, I am not upset nor angry at your post I am only trying to prove my point. :)

Still confused over times, I was online from 10pm to 2am and quickly around 2:30 (UK time so British summer time 1 hour off GMT) I saw nothing of the event and there weren't even mods on everytime I checked in whilst online.

One other thing I would like to point out after reading your post again. How can you just kick people from a room because you dont "think" they can win? That is not the way we host events nor is it a good way to host events. I hosted a room with 100 slots open and ran this 3 times. (I tried it with 128 but then some players couldnt move to the right sides because all slots were full so I switched it to only 100). That is the max number of events they allowed me to do. What more can you ask for in terms of rooms filling up and not everyone being able to play?

I was only able to run this event 3 times and you must have missed it when I did run them. I announced it on the whole sever so you couldnt have missed the announcement. I am sorry that you missed the event but I plan on running more events in the future and I hope you can take part in those. :)
