I went back 1 week ago to nf, i played on eu servers and i agree with hms_super_eu.

At begin gameplay is really hard for a frigate and dd.. you can't aa or go sunk other ships, you can just die.. and it's not funny at all join a battle only for death.

On eu servers i started my char in the blitz 'till lvl 55 'cause i didn't know aa mechanics and other new players too (it's boring AA only).

Btw blitz were really fun for low level entertainment.. and i hope they will get promote ^^

In the last 2 weeks as some of you are aware  i have spent many hours TRYING to hosting blitz games, with major fail

It is all well and good my friends saying on here the lovely ideas we want but if we cant even get 12 boots on the ground (well, in water LOL) id just abolish blitz for good.

I implore those reading this, sure you are fleet leaders, squad leaders but would you not like NEW PLAYERS to be joining?. That IS POSSIBLE but we need HELP.

If you see a Blitz room do not just laugh as you do in your BB7's , ASK YOUR FLEET OR SQUAD TO JOIN. Translated to Spanish (sorry can only do European) and French ( i dont use translaters, have to swap out keysets :) .

Imploro a los leyendo esto, seguro que son los líderes, los Líderes de escuadrón de la flota, pero no te gustaría ser nuevos jugadores a unirse?. Esto es posible pero necesitamos ayuda.

Si usted ve una habitación Blitz no acaba de reír como lo haces en tu BB7's , pregúntele a su flota o pelotón para unirse. Traducido al español (lo siento solo puede hacer Europeo) y Francés.

Je supplie ceux qui lisent cette, assurez-vous que vous êtes les leaders de la flotte, chefs d'équipe mais n'êtes-vous pas comme les nouveaux joueurs à se joindre?. C'est possible, mais nous avons besoin d'aide.

Si vous voyez un blitz room ne pas rire juste comme vous le faites dans votre BB7's , demandez à votre flotte ou de l'escadron de se joindre. Traduit de l'espagnol (désolé peut uniquement faire européennes) et français. Vive Starfleet Command!

The way I see the main problem is exp gain these days.
It would take a weekend to get your crew past lvl 60 and what has any new player learnt in that time?

We CAN play blitz without any need for random item drops in blitz, random olive drops or random drops of special Startrek NF1 ships.

I started playing in Feb. 2015. Like others said, GB isnt fun in the very beggining. You just want to rush in and hit stuff using auto-aim; AA looks impossible and ASW seems un-important when surrounded by huge surface ships. You end up crippled in the second or third 18" broadside near-miss and the torp-wall has just entered your field of view. You only get to run and shoot like crazy in Blitz, which is, based on my experience, what new players are looking for. Saying GBs give more experience to a new player is like saying you can go to a public or a private high-school to a baby; he just wont give a .... because grinding, leveling, etc. are only unknown words to someone new to the game and a bigger exp number wont make up for the lack of fun of being blown-up 30 secs in-to battle.

That said, and this being my first post, I should add my grain of sand. First; blitz needs promotion among "old" players, new ones will join regardless. The way I see it, and given the popularity of events, you have two ways to motivate "old" players: give them extra-experience and/or free stuff. Rule out the extra-exp because its counter-productive to the objective of re-populating Blitz and you are only left with the free stuff giving. Thou EBB coupons would be very nice, I`m pretty sure some extra medals (specially since they reboot monthly when no event) would help. (On the other hand, I`m pretty sure that even thousands of Naval Mines wont). Also extending the Blitz lvl to +/- 70 sounds promising although I like the BB1 to be the ceiling, and maybe pushing it too far could end-up being a mini-gb? Oh and i almost forgot... give out lvl 1 sailors like Halloween. People will need to level them, hopefully some of them will choose Blitz rooms.
