Buncha friends just finished college out there. I live in MN born and raised, go suck a cheese stick! Lol JK my aunt lives in baraboo and I have a cabin in Luck :) Luckily it wasnt destroyed by the siren tornados...I think 10 years ago now lol.

Also I goto hudson nearly every day or atleast talk to them. I live in lake elmo,mn about 5 mins from the hudson border.

Wow, you have got to be the closest to me. I'm at UW-Stout right now, originally from Marshfield. I've driven through Lake Elmo a few times. Never quite knew why they would name a place Lake Elmo, it is not a watery place from what I remember it to be.

 

Be happy your cabin wasn't in Dallas, I've heard that there was 15 tornados at one point.

Yeah, Luck has been "lucky" there was a tornado that formed on the lake (cabin is next to boat launch and right on lake). We came back one weekend and our dock and all our neighbors docks go sucked into the middle of the lake FML.

Lake Elmo is named Lame Elmo because of the park preserve here. Its the only city that does NOT allow coprorate expansion within their borders hence no businesses.

If you ever see any DLI truck drivers out there be nice to them they're my guys :P

Where do you live/from?

I'm from saint paul but moved out to the suburbs once I had a nice job. Lol

Marshfield is my hometown. It is also HQ to Roehl Trunking. DLI, I think I saw one this weekend when I was driving around.

Nah, It's about historical preservation. There are buildings in downtown lake elmo that have been untouched since their construction. The only "corporatly" own business is a dodge dealer. The reason is most of the city council is old and RICH. The average house Lake Elmo is $134,000 the most expensive including land value being $12,740,000 or so...Private 3M executive housing.

You probably won't see our trucks very often because typical running hours are midnight to 7am. If you see them at 9am they are running late and getting yelled at by me! :P

If you've seen blackhorse transportation (they bought our menomonie office) they actually are one of our sister companies.

BlackHorse likes to drive down Broadway.... Rather annoying if you ask me. I'm on a college campus, semi's are pedestrians worst nightmare. And yes I was driving after midnight.

 

Go small business! There is a reason why I want to work for 3M. They make bank!

3M is huge...and one of our contracts at my company. Don't tell anyone though ;)

If I took pics of 3M's different "offices" spread out between 3 cities it would be rediclous. They literally have 9 buildings within 3 miles of where I work all doing different things. I love working for a small business that still gets to control shit :) more lenient and nicer in general.

BlackKnight drivers are generally bad. Thats why we are no longer affiliated with them. Don't be suprised if you start seeing Lanter or DLI trucks replacing them up there. (they just lost their ford contract)

Saint Louis, here, but I spent a lot of time in Milwaukee and Kenosha when stationed at the Great Lakes NTC.
