Auto balance still wont work. Unless you can keep people from retreating before the end of the game. Just about every game I have been in usually starts fairly well balanced but then 2 or 3 from one side will retreat which leaves a huge stack against the other team. Or the team that loses the first point starts retreating. I am tempted to offer up my services as a practice dummy the next time this happens and stay in the game as long as the winning side gives me some cash when they are through.

op convoy can be the most fun part of NF, if the games are balanced properly. I mean I remember killing a speedwhore FF about 1/2 shiplength from the score in the last round of a tie game once, and then having my ally take it all the way to the other side and winning. That doesn't happen in normal games. However, you are right, the host usually does stack his team, usually by taking all the CL2s and Z99s against all CL1s and crappy DDs. It sucks I know but they need to just get an autobalancer, not nerf the game entirely.

babs, it's reassuring that this is on the list of 10,000 issues that Team NF are "looking into", but you know what would be more re-assuring? If they actually published that list as issue tickets, much as professional MMOG games developers and in fact any sort of tech support do, with indications of priority and estimated times to fix.

It seems that we're drowning in lists of things that are being "looked into". In my opinion, this is one the most major issue. What assurance do I have that it's being given the priority that it deserves?

I think what they are trying to say is this: we should be getting more experience per game but, since there are a majority of DDs and not higher ships playing in games, we are getting it at a slow pace.

Of course there is also the part that you gain HUGE exp in Op Convoy in one complete game but how many times did you crash or be on the loosing side before that happened?

When the convoy op is balanced and fair, you score one goal at most meaning you get no better exp than a regular game. Otherwise you aren't playing a balanced game, anything else is lying to yourself.
