  • Bigger map (+ POLL)

SDE/community, why we don't have one bigger map like real war on seas.
Now we have most of the time 30/50 players in a gb2 but the map is so small i think.
CV's can bomb everywhere they want. The cv range is all over the map.
Why don't make a map 4 times so big. So cv's must really move for attacking a
target.
Then you have a more tactic game and more real.
Then you must really think where you're going to.
And not just shoot run, shoot run, all on the same places.
How long takes it to sail from north to south..? 1 min? don't know.
Thats not real offcourse.
But we can still have the normal gb2 room.
Maby an idea for more real and more fun Navy games.
It's now more; just shoot so much as you can.

CVs are already a dying race, Their planes have little or no fuel left if they were to fly
from once end of the map to the other. Cvs would have to expose themselves to
everything to get in range, and BBs cannot guarantee them protection. Unless planes
can get more range then this it out of the question. Subs would also be pretty unhappy
because they have to run 2 times longer on the surface to get to the end and with such
a large map searching for targets after a while would be gods task.

Why don't we use the islands map? It will feel bigger with all the maneuvering that a BB
has to do, no more f for fictory subs won't go in a straight b-line towards you anymore.
Or even the ice age one. Why the tactical maps are not in use anymore? Imma host all
day long island games, and see how it goes. It can't be worser than this.

Sounds cool.. so many things would be possible if the player base
was larger. Either that or they stop making more flippen servers.
Everyone agrees that one big server would be like 10x better than
one medium and 3 smalls. Alas, it will never happen. NF seems to
be fundamentally flawed. No vision. No, i don't count adding a few
nations as a goal to accomplish. Yeah NF wants to be big and successful
but i don't see it every happening. Seems like SDE is milking the
cash cow instead of shelling a bunch out to make a better game.

Better game = more people = more money... As the cliche saying goes
no pain no gain. That being said, there needs to be a long term plan.
Not spur of the moment(weeks maybe) decisions, and someone who
plays the game has to have a hand in these decisions. Like.. adding a
4th server, which bimbo thought that up anyhow. Probably some guy
crunching numbers who was like ' Eureka! i can increase revenue by
50$ if we add a server! But with potential for long term damage!'

meh. I've given up on hoping + believing NF can evolve into a better game
It won't. It would've done so by now if it could have.

I haven't been able to break 300k in a long time. That is in GB1s and GB2s, and it is not
because I'm getting worse. The problem is either one of two things happens:

1. My team steamrolls the other before I can get much attack because they are better and
both sides fictory straight at each other.
2. My team gets steamrolled because they are worse and both sides fictory straight at each
other. I end up getting sunk as one of the last BBs, completely blind.

I think a bigger map could add a new dynamic to this, for better or worse.

I like the one huge map idea connecting all servers idea, especially with reloads.
Perhaps make it with spawn points and a harbor for each server, each spawn point
would be chosen like alpha, bravo, charlie, etc... and then whatever group your with
you go out of the harbor area (which would be safe from spawn campers) and go to
a objective, like raiding targets in enemy waters (away from harbor areas) and you'd
get points for shelling targets and sinking enemy ships.

Amount of targets would depend on the population of the map. Xp, creds, and points
would depend on normal room attack and personal credits and etc... and be non-
shared to prevent leechers...

I just don't want a capture the flag like game, I'd rather have something like HA but
something that continous and require teamwork...

Also a possibility to rearming would be a transport ship, something like the landing
crafts and within a radius you'd automatically reload the ship at a certain rate
maybe? That or make a cargo ship to buy, which would bring up the possibility of
maybe a premium cargo ship, one with a faster reload rate, maybe armed with 1 or 2
guns that have the firing rate as the km ss4?

that for me would be the perfect game mode right there...

Take off the cv/bb cap - Ever heard of normal rooms?
Set the exp to 200 per battle

How about set exp to a ratio of damage and hit percentage while you are at it (actually
this might not be a bad thing, minus lw lvl spread)

My thought is why not just make a continuous room where exp is earned by hitting another
ship per percentage. There are so many games out there that calculate this way.

NOW im not the mathmatician (I will leave that to rehor or richard to figure out the
shared exp system) but this may make the game a little more lively...Maybe.

I could see some fleet play getting involved somehow and wallah, its chaos in a NF battle
room.

Ok...back to job search.

EDIT: For the love of NF btw ... DONT MAKE CV FLAG SHIPS! (too late...but can still be
removed)
EDIT:EDIT: pssst GB1 has shared exp and requires only 16 people to start. (revolutionary idea)

maybe if the BB/CV caps were lifted so that more BB and CV users could join.. it just
seems hard to get lots of ppl in one room cause of the caps, and the minimum requirements
dont help much either i guess..

unless the team is doing nothing the entire game; longer games = more attack d .one = more
exp? as it stands now anyways >.>

You are the community.

We already did the one battle per hour thing. It was between March and May, after GB2 XP
got buffed to holy nuts and before the Summer event started. We just didn't get that much
XP as a standard.

It was wholly retarded.

If it could be done where the game turnover was sufficient and the XP was proper, it would
be great. But bigger maps = more players, and more players = more wait, as we've seen for
a long time.

Planes don't get more fuel, thats just the point! Cv's can range every bb in map. If
we have bigger maps, cv must sail tactic too and not just parking.

And about the reload point. Just get a extra ability for the cv or flagship (don't
matter) that gives you ammo if you sail next to it.

And indeed, 4 teams is more fun but then its not really a realistic ww2 game (what
it's not now with this small maps either)

Just make a different map option for bigger maps and more teams.
Host can choose if they want?? :S
And players too?
So I don't get the point of all this negative points.

Don't while, just think about an idea to fix it.
