talking about the noobs who clearly see ur ftrs up but will still aa them directly in
view jus to get some bonus creds frm the other cvs ftrs.I dnt wana flame them cuz
then a ban will come and im tryingg to keep a clean record in nf for wat its worth but

If the enemy fighters are camped over your line your CV support is allready woefully
ineffective and more a handicap to the few smart support ships out there.

If you don't want to give me fighter cover thats fine, because If I was AAing your
fighters, chances are you weren't much of a help in the first place.

I have acually had someone stop giving fighter cover south vs another CV5. We won
that game still because my AA was more effective then his horrible CV skills.

When I play in my AA boat, I try my best to keep friendly planes out of harms way.
But
if those bombers are comming through, or those BBs need to be blind asap, I will
shoot
down everything flying in the area in a blanket of 5.25" or 4.7/6.1".

Better to have each other blind then having only us blind.

Also, If your fighters are outmatched, which is easily seen, Ill AA those fighters as
well. If in a 8v8 you down 2 fighters and all of yours are shot down, I will most
definetly be AAing. The loading time for his fighters alone makes up for the fact I can
get a scout around there safely.

there are times to risk the lives of friendly fighters and other times there are not...
some people have good judgement others dont care. of course if its to save a ship
from bombers then go for it. but if its a bunch of scattered fighters and your teams
fighters are atleast tied with them or maybe winning then hell no do not shoot AA. if
your own teams bombers are being chased by fighters then shoot the bombers and
fighters becuase they wont make it to the enemy anyways with a bunch of fighters
on them. in that case the CV should be grateful you atleast tried to save his
bombers.

"But when I see a bomber sortie being chased by fighters, heading towards my flagship, and
the fighters aren't going to catch the bombers before the payload is dropped, I'm going to
flak the bombers to save that guy. If I shoot down the fighters, I'm sorry, but having our
flag ship alive is more important than downing 1 or 2 friendly fighters."

I don't see how that's at all relevant to what I posted.

You did read the part where I said that fighters should be kept out far enough that they
intercept enemy planes beyond friendly AA range, right?

Screenshots + Reporta and/or "/mod" = Vacation for the little darling.

Either that or you accidentally hit the "." key while your TB just so happen to be in the
process of a flyover.

Please, please, please teach me how to make a 8 TB attack look like an accident xD

@ Geno
This days, i prefer a late interception than to gamble my frontline BB's luck to the skill
of the probably noob (80% chances) AA ships on my team.

it's simply....if You kill my planes by using aa more then one time, its end of ENY help
from my cv ( recon, fithers, bombers... non).

@ Geno

I don't shoot down planes returning to the carrier or anything. But when I see a bomber
sortie being chased by fighters, heading towards my flagship, and the fighters aren't
going to catch the bombers before the payload is dropped, I'm going to flak the bombers to
save that guy. If I shoot down the fighters, I'm sorry, but having our flag ship alive is
more important than downing 1 or 2 friendly fighters.

Having played this from both the CV and AA sides...

In most cases, if your planes are within range of friendly AA, you're using them wrong.
Your fighters should be placed far enough out that you can successfully intercept enemy
planes before they're able to do any harm (give sight, drop bombs, whatever).

But by the same token, AA ships should avoid shooting down outgoing or returning friendly
planes if at all possible, and should not start shooting at planes that are already
engaged by friendly fighters unless it's clear that your team's fighters can't handle them.
