  • Data File Corruption Fix **v1.327 files**

    07. 27. 2011 15:37

TeamNF_MK2
***CURRENT FOR NF v1.327***

Note: The following has been tested to be a viable resolution until an official client update is readied. Special thanks to Phrozen for this suggestion.

I am deeply sorry for the frustrations experienced over this error,

-TeamNF MK2

1. Problem: Data file has corrupted

Solution:

1. Close NF
2. Download the critical .data & mission files from:

https://www.megaupload.com/?d=1HW7M59Z (.rar file, extract to C:\Program Files\SD EnterNET\NavyFIELD)

OR

https://www.megaupload.com/?d=9CT88IEZ  (.exe file, self-extracting)

Alternate Mirrors:

https://rapidshare.com/files/1523996110/NavyFieldD_M1327.exe (.exe)

https://rapidshare.com/files/4074682110/NavyFieldD_Mv1327_Files.rar (.rar)

(MD5 Hash: 16c6036ed18ece651a3be2382fcab408  *NavyFieldD_M1327.exe)
(MD5 Hash: e51fdc5ccac421fc4c69b33396de24aa  *NavyFieldD_Mv1327 Files.rar)

**Note: When prompted to replace any files, select YES**

3. Navigate to  C:\Program Files\SD EnterNET\ENFUNS Updater\Downloaded\NAVYFIELDUS and delete the file: FDList.
4. Run NF (nothing should download).... PLAY!

Explanation:
After receiving this error and closing NF, the game automatically deletes .data files as well as 20 mission files.  Upon launching NF again, ENFUNS downloads these missing files (but the .data files appear to be corrupt themselves).  Thus players are forced into an endless loop: Run NF, error, update, run NF, error, etc.

When ENFUNS is done downloading, you are left with a good file set, except for those .data files.  Downloading the files (above) and replacing them will leave you with a working NF file set now.

Lastly, deleting the FDList file will prevent ENFUNS from overwriting your files.  Opening this file will list the files that ENFUNS has/will download (specifically the 35 .data and mission files).  Do not miss this step or you’re only putting yourself in another endless loop.

2. Problem: ITFPDITM2.SPR file has been corrupted

Solution:

1. Download the following:

https://rapidshare.com/files/3294462853/ITFxx_Sprites.exe

OR

https://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZZ8IJEAH

2. Extract to your SPR folder (Ex: C: ProgramFiles\SD EnterNET\NavyFIELD\SPR)

*When prompted to overwrite anyfiles, select YES*

3. Navigate to  C:\Program Files\SD EnterNET\ENFUNS Updater\Downloaded\NAVYFIELDUS and delete the file: FDList.

3. Problem:  There is missing patch files for the Soviet patch

Solution:
Select YES and relaunch NF.  ENFUNS will automatically download these missing files.  In the event a download is prompted in your browser, disregard it.

If you still continue to have problems, refer to the following post:

Perform the steps listed in that thread

sad to say this does not work for everyone.....

The only way that has a greater sucess of working is unistall regedit install 1319 or 1320(not 20 still has some occasional issues) install let update play game crashes play again game works....sometimes you must repeat the unistall reinstall in order for this to work.

Also you may want to consider running the updater and launcher under win 98 compatibility mode as this has been said to work on new installs of 1319 and 1320 with some great measure of sucess.

I did everything again, the only thing that I think I "might" have forgotten to press yes to all after extracting the files to that folder. After doing it again I went in, and the same thing happened IT DOWNLOADED NOTHING I got to the game screen it checked its few files, I attempted to log in and "data file has corrupted" then it had the same problem again where it started downloading the 35 files again after I had already gotten 0 files to download.

When I run the updater and close out when its done loading, should I be going through my program files to go to the updater or is it ok that i'm using the desktop icon that brings me to the updater, and could it be a file other than the ones I'm replacing that have been corrupted.

Perform those steps to determine which of your files are corrupt/missing. Post a reply with which files are found to be corrupt and we'll continue from there.

only one error: SPR\ITFFM.spr ERROR: Checksum did not match.
Where can I get a good file?

That's a sprite that isn't "essential" in order to start NF, so it's not what is causing your problem, I even removed the file from my folders and NF ran fine (I did this as a test). I actually have the exact same results as you. Are you receiving "data file has corrupted" error or are you just CTD (Crash to Desktop)?

Alright, just to make sure everything's done correctly.
1. Try logging on again, get the "Data has corrupted" error.
2. Close NF
3. Download the following and extract to your DESKTOP.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QHH7JVHQ

4. Open the folder, inside will be all the .data files AND the mission folder.
5. Select all the files (and mission folder) and COPY to your NavyField directory. You WILL be prompted to replace the files/folder, say YES.
6. Navigate to C:\Program Files\SD EnterNET\ENFUNS Updater\Downloaded\NAVYFIELDUS and DELETE the file: FDList.
7. Try running NF again (nothing will download).

Let me know how it goes.

Have you turned off DEP for NF? If that still doesn't work I'd suggest right clicking the NF icon and selecting "Run as Administrator". Let me know how it goes.

If you don't know how to turn off DEP, below are the instructions:

1.) Open "Control Panel"

2.) Click on "System and Maintenance"

3.) Click on "System"

4.) On the left side click on "Advanced System Settings"

you will be asked for permission to continue, click continue ( It will show up if you
have UAC enabled)

5.) Click on the Advanced tab and then on "Settings" in the Performance area

6.) Click on the DEP (Data Execution Prevention) tab

7.) Put a tick in the little circle next to "Turn on DEP for all programs and services
except those I select" and click on the "ADD" button and browse for and click on
the .exe file for "Navyfield" or
any other App in the NavyField folder then click "Open" now click "Apply" then "OK"

8) Close all open windows, Reboot
