Nexon has now officially launched it's North American website, marking the official beginning of the NavyFIELD II American Community! It's been my pleasure to update all of you on the progress of NavyFIELD II's release, and please, if you enjoyed NavyFIELD, give NavyFIELD II a chance, and try it out for yourself.

Having played the game at Gamescon in August 2012 (and posting photos here on the forums), I have to say it was nothing spectacular. It really is just normal Navyfield with 3D polygon models instead of sprites.
Same ship controls, same fixed camera position, same harbour setup. Can't say I was very impressed, if anything the in-game combat was sluggish and had a much slower pace to it. All subject to change I guess since its Beta, that being said when building a new game I was hoping for new features not a carbon copy of NF made to look shiny.

Many big changes have been made to the game since you were at Gamescon: *You can now rotate the camera by holding "ALT" and moving your mouse *Clan Wars are being implemented *Sub combat is being enhanced *Aircraft combat is now 3d, (AKA No Circle Of Death) *DDs and SS are the only ships with sonar, giving the DD a purpose in a large battle Every month on the Japanese server, around 15 new ships are added, 3 or 4 new maps added, and a sneak peak of a new gamemode, or ship is released. I'd say at the moment, the Nexon moderation is doing a fine job over in Japan.

NF2NA/EU will not be managed by the crappy EU Service "TwoWar", and the American Server will not be managed by...ohh wait, we don't have any compay besides SDE officials that speak to us once every 3 years in a language that I cannot even hope to understand. Nexon will be managing Navyfield 2 in ALL regions, meaning Nexon Norther America for us americans and canadians, and Nexon EU for the Europeans. Although Nexon is responsible for one of the most hacked FPS games in Internet history, they usually do a find job when it comes to balancing content, making events, and implementing new content.

Considering NavyFIELD 2, whether or not is it good, will have massive effect on NavyFIELD 1, either it will bring new players to BOTH games, due to heavy advertisment, or it will kill NF1, and crown NF2 supreme. Either way, NavyFIELD 2 is the future of this community, even if NF1 manages to live on for a couple more years.

It is gonna be really interesting to see if NF2 comes out soon because World of Warships is going to be coming out soon as well. They both look very good.
