Bit puzzled about this.. I was told that speed cap was 24/40 with reasonable bulge and
full crew.

With aa, I get 30 bulge for 24 knots. Is this right? I heard that yamato was fastest bb4
or something like that...

Also, mine runs 38 overheat with 4 ebve engineers full experts 100 vets level 90. Is this
about right? About what level does yamato speed cap anyway? Is it well into the 90's? 100+?

You might need to drop the belt as well. Sounds like your crew is not super high level
so I can't understand why so slow. Do you have the correct engine (heavy)?

Nope no armor at all, i mean besides 0.2 belt and 2 bulk head, and yet my base is 23...I'm
now trying to figure out why my program is giving 36

If you have a base speed 23 Yammy, you should overheat at 35 knots. If you had a
24 knot Yammy it would OH at 37.

YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE FULL RECRUITS ON AN ENGY FOR THE LOVE OF ALL
THINGS SACRED.

Your total engy ability for your 4 engies is a smidge over8.4mm. 8.46mm and you'll
have 36.

Your yammy should have a base speed 24. A yammy without AA has a base speed of
zero (= quickly sunk). :)

You should have no armor on your yamster if it puts your base speed to 23. I think
you can fit a bit of bulge on a yammy and still have 24.

The overheat speed = base speed * function(number engies and engy ability). So
for yammy, base speed is everything.

Calculate your total true Engy ability and compare to the table. See Adalbert's guide
for details on how to do that.

I got 6 engineers, 3 reps and 2 aa gunners, a scout, and 2 main gunners.

All of my crew is +12 and one engy is elite.
All have 100 vets, how fast will i got with 4 engineers on yamato when i got it?(they are
now 6 lvls above bo, so then i quess lvl 97+)

So i was looking at the speed/ability table posted before, and i have some doubts, is that for
a non AA yammy?
i made a little program, it seems to be correct, but still giving me wrong values(it says my OH
should be 36.1...so 36, but it is 35...and from that table should be 37, since it says i have a
bit more than 8m true ability...
my engys are like Vets,Experts,ability)
engy1=96,555,2516
engy2=117,495,2257
engy3=79,476,2367
engy4=79,551,2316
I can take out all the bulge, have all recruits filled, and still i go 23/35...
and is there some rounding down on OH speed calculation, or on True ability? I made my little
programe with information on the Adalbert ability guide...so if there is any change i would like
to know

slight clarification of above point:

The OH TIME is uncapped.

the OH speed is capped depending on ship base speed.

21/35
22/37
23/39
24/40
25/42

etc.

Also the OH time is stacking (6 engies assuming they are all identical = 6x the OH time of
a single one)

OH speed however isnt calculated the same.

after 5 engies, adding more engies wont increase the speed. just the time. Basically, the
game take a % of every engies true ability and after 5, the added % of all engies cannot
reach an higher value than what 5 does. if i had a 6th one, i get more OH time, but each
engies contribute less to OH speed, which basically makes my speed to be the same with 5
than with 6.
