  • Zoom Bug Identified - Please confrim

Greetings,


I have repliacted the zoom bug on 5 consecutive tries.... heres how...

Reboot PC... that puts us all on the same page...

Run the game.....

At the start of the first battle... DO NOT PRESS F11

Try to zoom in/out ----- nothing will happen....

Press F11 and try to zoom in/out ------ Zoom bug should occur

close the game.. log back in.. and any combination of commands will always result in
zoom bug.. unless you reboot pc...

after you reboot pc.. attempt again... if same thign happens.. you replcated this bug..

to avoid the bug.. never try to zoom in/out in 1st battle until after you have pressed
F11....

Not to sound rude, but this has been a known issuse for years now. Posting it here
wont do crap, we all have tried to get this fixed a million times. SDE doesnt give a
damn about any of us so long as the money keep coming. Kind of a wasted post imo.

the zoom bug isnt about alt-tabbing during startup, or even the harbor view, for me it
only occurs on the initial launch of navy field(regardless if i alt tab out or not) when i
join my 1st battle. if i do not alt tab while waiting in a game, there is no issue,
however if i forget; which i have then the bug insues,

only solution to the bug is a simple restart of the game, and the same initial 1st game
test(waiting for full/launch/and completion)

that is my results with this bug, but i have only been playing for 8months so i could be
wrong.

There used to be a problem that caused a zoom bug.. if you alt tab out while the game
is doing the initial start up (right after you hit play and the game starts up).. if you alt
tab out during this time, it would cause the zoom bug back in the day.. just say in
game until you log in, then you can alt tab out.

Why should we even report bugs espcially when they have existed for a long long
time. The zoom bug as I have identified is not related to Hack Sheild.

To avoid this Scroll Bug....

never never never try to zoom in/out by press F11

until

You have moved your ship or fired your guns....

Will this bug ever be fixed or we all just have to learn to live with it?

Possible fix.... Unistall NF, redownload from the site, reinstall and no more zoom bug.
Well for now at least. And i can alt tab all day long no prob.


EDIT: NVM after closing the game and restarting it i got the zoom bug again.

What percentage of people have HackShield on their computer and want rid of it WinterX?

Kindly go and tell SDE to provide details of how to remove it.

Then I must be amongst that 1% where everything applies except the post-HS zoom bug.
Well, gotta love percentages... and certainties. An odd bug it is nonetheless.

Do you guys want to know the funniest thing about this?

The zoom bug occurs on SOME users when Navyfield is minimized while loading, normally when
a player Alt Tabs out of the loading. This doesn't happen for a lot of players, but for
those that it does, it is a pretty much 99% certainty if you Alt Tab, you will get a zoom bug.

Now, Hackshield automatically minimizes Navyfield, causing a zoom bug every battle. So,
Hackshield has now ruined NF in more than one way :)
