In this case, you may want to go in CV room or GB room to leech with AA only. And sending
rarely planes.

Works well in CV room.

The only way to truely know how many experts you gain is to look at the crew before game
and after. There is natural expert growth as well as experts from Crits (crit shells,
plane shootdowns etc). Premium increases growth of sailors somewhat, and depending on
what you are shooting down, 1k in shootdowns could be 4 planes.

More recruits on your sailors tends to lead to more experts as well. If you have only a
handful of recruits on all of your sailors you are less likely to gain larger numbers at a
time.

KM40s are meant for higher tier ships because of weight/space issues. Emden works great
for AA as does moltke.

There is a random factor in the experts you gain. You can hit a wave of planes and see no
experts, or you can hit a single plane for 20+ experts.

Not every promotion comes up in a badly translated message. So you are probably
gaining more than you think.

It's more difficult on a free account but you really need to be doing at least 5000
in planes shot down to be gaining reasonable experts. You do get them randomly
after battles but the more planes you shoot down - obviously the better chance
of getting expert gain.

tried moltke in gb2, shot down 1.4 k in planes wit 3.46" aa guns and got no experts on win.

Ok, this is what I've done based on what was suggested, i bought me a apa (because i
needed support slots) 6 to be exact... I loaded all 6 of my fp's in the support slots, and
naturaly my aa gunners on the r slots, I chose the km40's (wich isnt well suited for an
apa cause of the amount of shells allowed), ((about 280 per turrett)) so I will be
switchin out to the 3.46" guns. In one battle I shot down 1k (credits) worth of planes and
I gained 2 experts on 2 individual sailors, 1 on my bo and 1 on my fp. Am I doing
something wrong? ps... Yes I ran outa shells b4 battle was over lol.

Missions do not give experts anymore. The mission rooms were exploited and experts from
missions were removed. See patch notes (relevant portion in Caps)

Patch 1.245

1. The gun accuracy(spread) penalty in Night Battle has been removed. The accuracy
will be same with other game modes from now on.

2. Crew death message will now also be written on the chat logs also.

3. FF class ships will be able to use the Sonarman class despite of the nationality of
the Sonarman.

4. SS class ships will be limited up to maximum 8 in one Great Battle room.

5. Expert gaining rate in battle rooms will advanced to 2 times than the normal rate.

6. THE EXPERT GAINING IN MISSION ROOMS WILL BE REMOVED TOTALLY. ALSO, CREW DEATH IN
MISSION ROOMS WILL BE REMOVED ALSO.

7. The HA bug related with the maximum limit of CV classes has been fixed.

Experts are best earned through AA'ing. Experts are only gained from AA'ing (or natural
experts) in GB, GBII, Normal Rooms, Select mode, etc. Experts are not gained from HAs,
FLs, any room in the clan area or mission areas. Must be in the battle areas.

Thanks for the insight, I've tried the aa mission with no significant gain in experts,
however is the mission rooms bugged and if so SDE going to fix the bug? I'm still open to
other suggestions so please explain in detail what it is that will keep me from throwing
100's of more dollars at expert packs.

MY KM pilots are lvl 100, can you suggest a specific mission, because gb2 isn't working
for me. The main reason why ide like to inquire is because i dont have premium anymore and
im thinking of rolling all my experts for vets, in other words I'm really scared that I
wont get any vets to make a difference and waste all my experts with out being able to
recoup the loss.
