I have a seydith cv with 5 pilots lv45-50 with 4 base 11 ftrs and 1 base 12.SHould i use
locals or t1s?Locals can get me up to 9k airkills in a game while i only average less than
1k airkills with t1s per game.German locals arent that great, t1s are quite good and
give fc but fetch only 10-20k credits per game.

Dont let the TNF tag fool you, Dukeboy actually knows how to play cv :D

storm, suggesting using scout mines for cv's instead of fighters or bombers of either
kind, is kinda like if i wanted to decide between a truck or a compact and you suggest a
tricycle. Seriously, a CV with nothing but scouts would get laughed of a room. Mines,
unlike plane dropped trops and bombs, can easily be blown out of the water by any passing
ff, dd or cl. laying mines is like laying a trap in the woods when the bear is 50 feet
from you and you've got gun in your hands.

As for the actual question...
I've got a Ryujo and I use T1's on it. Why? Because locals give you a tiny area of
effectiveness. A smart BW will just turn his bombers around and let your locals drop
chasing them. Furthermore, locals are useless for FC. T1's may be incredibly outgunned,
but at least they let you hunt bombers instead of waiting for them to come to you

Clearly T1.

To learn how to play a CV correctly you need to know how to manage your FT.As v2 say in
earlier post ,use AA on your Seyd for the short distances and try to manage your Fts into
the free zones how you do it with your Bombers.

That mean you have alot more watching the map and alot more work with managing your Ft but
you need this for higher lvl where you cannot use Locals.

I personally saw never a point to bring out Locals ,why a lvl 50 (as example) should be
able to deal with lvl 100 Fts and if you run in a fight with a player who know how to
micromanage planes it makes not really a different because he will eat your Locals too.

Learn to manage your Planes ,watch the Vet CV players how they do it and you learn more
how to play a CV as you will do it with this low fuel Locals.

Its not all about credits. If your Fighters are really bad = they are unable shoot down T1
scouts. Go for locals. Above level 50 you should use T1 Fighter planes. Scouting is key.
And you can learn how to manage fighters squadrons. You must only avoid any dogfight
with enemy fighters.

I personly have lvled 2 cv's up past T1 lv's one using locals and the outher T1's...and Im
hear to tell you that T1's are way better for gb2 [bliz too for that matter] I avoided
enemy fighters and used them as scouts...you get better xp for little/no personlal creds
and a win than a loss with 3-4k

"their oil is uterrly crap"

This applies to all locals, just saying.

And i vote for neither, lvl your fighters up to T2 lvl,but if that isn't a option,i vote for
locals over T1's.

Km locals suck, their oil is uterrly crap. The t1s are good but like all other t1s,still suck, its
hard for them to chase down a squad of bombers and kill it.

"You guys that are all rooting for T1 use are insane. Most players who are actually using
them have crews with less than 100 vets and sometimes no boosts. What the hell do
you think they're going to shoot down? Even scouts and T1 DB's are hard to catch up
to."

Most of us have played with T1 and at level crew. My most of my fighters were unboosted
past 100. Somehow I still found ways to be effective. Either way though if you do have
unBVE pilots locals will still be food.

I usually juggled between T1's and Locals. There's a point when T1's get god awfully
boring and a point when locals suck because your team is yelling for scouts and
insulting you.

Mostly I preferred locals. If the enemy can't see your team and your team isn't fighter
camped, they should be able to launch their own scouts. T1's are just asking for a beat
down. CV's see them as easy pickins. Even my TB's kill them with little to no damage
taken. They're pathetic.

Daily BB drivers and farmer CV's with T4's win this thread.

Well if your a noob, mines might be more effective then bombers. If you already have
experience bombing, even with some paper planes, you shouldn't be able to lose
them.

With bombers you choose your targets and don't relly that much on luck. Besides
Fighter pilots can't use scouts >_>.

If you wanna win more, go for T1 fp and drag them around like scouts and scout for
your BB. If you wanna have more fun killing planes, use local fighters. Doesn't matter
which you choose as long as you use them effectivelly. I would even recomend to
bomb, but you will need to know which ships/players to bomb.

If you go for locals, try killing scouts and you must be constantlly loading FP in your
ship.

Also try playing more in the north/center instead of south unless your the only one.

If you go with T1 fp, try scouting as much as you can and don't worry about killing
enemy FP. Thats what AA support ships are for anyways. Putting AA on your CV
might not be a bad idea, but if it takes to much time from your scouting, you might
aswell use locals. So if you put AA, don't waste much time on it. Focus on scouting
first.
