I just recently started a TWing crew, and I wanted to find out if theres any tips or tricks
I should know. I currently have two engineers(although one is from my CV), One elite
torpman, and one torpman with a +11 Base. Is there anything else I will need?

TW is great as "new" playstyle but get boring fast and unless you have super stupid enemy
BB, you will be sunked 1-2min (you are priority number 1 or there will be no AA and ASW
ships left to defend BB)

My advise is to let your BO normal and dont skeletonize him.You may want to use him as BB
BO later.
Powerlevel your BO or ypu WILL see hell in 20-50lvl.(bad ships with terrible guns and no
space for torps)

Well.. I always have rushed into battles without planning ahead... this may work good
for me.

I run a kitakami, and I run an over vetted set of 3 engies, it is a dead end gig but it is
far from boring, if you play it right you can have attacks as high as 153k+ or average
about 90 to 100k in regular GB2s, the key is to aim for the bigger ships. TW skippers are
fearless and will hurl their ships into harm's way

Thank you everyone for the tips, I'll keep them in mind as I work my way through the
line.

IMHO, Kitakami is a dead deadend.
It was nerfed totally.
If you still want to go TW, you must go Mogami. Oyodo is a decent TW, same with Mogami
(44). Then, the ISE (43). :)
This way, you'll get decent Xp and creds. Not the case with Kita.

My whole point is I do like gaps. Most people are smart enough to squeeze through if they can.

If you find yourself torping close to medium range please, please lead your target, dont
just fire right at them. And also please look BEFORE you fire. You don't want to take out
one enemy ship while taking out five of your own.

V2, most players these days somehow sail towards torps and torp splashes so trying to
outsmart them crazy torp walls might not be the best method. Just fire straight and
chances are they will sail towards them to investigate what they are ;)

- On a serious note. If you are still DD1, then level the sailors on another ship to save
yourself the Kuma days. IJN DDs work well enough but the Kuma can kill a lot of fun.

Not much. Slightly crossing impacts the pattern you make. Doing it too much will spread
them out too far when they hit the battle line. Also, always use narrow with kita or the
torps spread out too much making them easier to dodge. Using wide on the back launchers
however will also make for crazy patterns when you cross.

How much do you cross your T slot guidelines?
