  • CV crew question

Kruis
Thinking about starting up a CV crew soon, and I was wondering what crew is nessesary to
run a plane-only CV (no gunners)

So far I have come up with 1 BO, 4-6 FPs, 2 DBs, but I know I'll have some room left by
the time I get to G1/G2. Should I pick up a Medic to counter crew death, a Seaman to help
with everything, or what ever else I think I need (Engi/Reps)

Thanks in advance.

well I have an interesting CV setup. I already have KM BB, and I'm on seydlitz atm.

currently Im running 4 ftrs/2 dbs and AA gunners to support team as t1 ftrs dont to much

by CV6, I plan to have 4 ftrs, 2 dbs, 1 tb, 1 seamen, and 1 engie, 2 gunners, and BO

everyone unescessarialy slags off tbs, I think they are fantastic, I once took out 3 cvs,
including enemy flag with 6 ijn tbs (in one run)

Do not follow the above, it is a monumental waste of time and resources doing that.

Blazer has explained pretty well why SD, repair rate and engineers matter on a
competative CV. Follow his lead and you won't do much wrong.

1 soft BO(11/11/11 RRE or even better base) class to nation sailor only till lv120
3 soft engine (10/10/12 or even better base) class to support sailor only till lv120
8FPs-3DBs/TBs
by doing so, u could have good soft D, ok repair and good speed, plus more armor
space.
Donot waste u chance to OP other player's fps since u alreay play GERMAN cv. U
donot need HH or AA since u have FPs, and escorts. u donot need 900 soft D or
huge amount of armor since when u are getting hit, u team pertty much lost already,
u just need to avoid 1 hit sunk by both bombers and SS.
BTW, if its possiable, train a sonarman, put him on ur cl-class escort to make u escort
more efficient.

Above are my own opinion, I respect other solutions.

1. Sonar works on cv.

2. Gguy is an idiot. At least in this situation. BBs arent always what hits you, think
bombers, smaller ships and SS.

SDE atleast claims it works on CV

Patch 1.242

1. New Years Event will be held.
-When a players plays a battle more than 5 minutes, random NF Store Items will be
given out after battles
-Date : 8th of Jan. ~ 22th of Jan.
-Items : Ship tree Reset, Expert +10, Expert +100, Veteran +10, 1000 credits, 1000
points.

*******************************************************************
2. Sonar detecting system has been altered.
- FF, DD class ships will be able to detect Submarines without Sonarman, but the
detect range will be about 60% of the sight range of the ship. If a Sonarman is on
the FF or DD class ship, it will have more detect range.
- Sonarman will be able to work on CV classes, so CVs can detect Submarines.
*******************************************************************

3. There will be no crew loss on HA from now on.

4. Unique ships will not be able to enter Blitzkrieg now.

5. The repair cost of SD class ships will shown correctly.

6. Chat error when Alt + Ctrl has been pressed at once on certain keyboards, has
been fixed.

7. Auto balance system is Great Battle has been advanced.

Engine speed and repair rate is important for CVs in HAs. Being able to repair up a great
deal of DP so you don't have to start the next room at half health is important. And
being able to get off the border in a pinch on outer tiles is important as well.
