I have a Level 64 CV BO (Ryujo) I used to use 2 FP 2 DB Machine gunner and Seaman.
Also 2 gunners in R slots along with cannons.

Later on (as i got a bit wiser) i decided to raise a medic (14 base) and additional 2
fighters.
(Creating a Sub and BB crew in the process. Also the gunners from the CV found a good use.

Now my setup looks like this

4 FP 2 DB Medic and Seaman in R slots.
Now im in a sort of bind. I could use:
T2 fighters with my older pilots and ditch locals/T1 but will only be able to use 2 FPs
since the 2 new ones are way below the required level (both at 43)
Or take locals so i can use all pilots to intercept enemy planes.

And of course T1 that WILL get blasted out of the sky by just about anything but can be
used to scout and kill some slower bombers and scouts (and i can take twice as many
compared to locals).

@ Nubbles like i said if your are lvl 99 or lower i will eat your planes up so anytime you
want face my locals. There is a hell of a lot more to plane tactics then just the lvl of
your FP or vets but my locals are extreamly good only lvl 77's.

@ some dude who said why do i play locals. Can't say i play them to make ppl mad, and if
there mad thats to bad. Ill use locals in a CV 6 if i want, just fine with me.

I personally support locals, for people who don't use BVE, or are at low level.

But I do not support people over lv 80, with bigger CVs, with BVE, etc that use locals as
a restort to not microing and fast bomber protection so they can bomb.

For your info, I eat locals with level 73 T2 fighters, 70 vets and 100 experts. Shame you play on
MO, or I could have demonstrated.

Back on topic.

I would like to mention IJN HAS NO MACHINE GUNNER WEAPONERY. Yes this means that you either
have wasted your time training them, or wasted money buying them. Either way, they are a waste
of your time and have 0 value.

With you being in a CV2, it is ever more important you utilize ever slot of your ship in your
disposible into training pilots. Your situation at the moment can be related as a BB using 1 of it's 4
turrets, with underlevelled supports (meaning that you will perform badly against other CVs)

I would strongly recommend you halt on your CV for the moment and firstly get an Oyodo or
Mogami. In it you put the stuff you need to train (underlevelled fighters, medic and gunners). Don't
fit your higher levelled fighter in - your goal is to first equalize the gap between your two sets of
pilots. When your pilots have reached level 55, you may start running T1s. Level 55 pilots in T1s
are really effective when I had the same problem like you.

The hybrids are good pilot trainers, whilst they don't take a CV slot. They are perfect for assisting
places where your team's CV lack protectin over, and you may chose to run both locals or fighters.
Either way, you would eventually catch up with your other pilots.

That is wrong, that is wrong, that is wrong and that is wrong. A CV may chose the style he wants
to play. They are NOT servants of BBs, nor are they the tool for providing sight because of the BBs
incompetence to launch or even get a freaking scout.

30?40 vets in lvl 78 fighter pilots are already enough to do well in T3s, why bother and
use locals, trolling? pissing off ppl? lol?

the_ren1 u are not correct on some things.
-class them normally as ace pf,not very true cose u lose a lot of bomber ability and that
one is very important for fighters,there are ways to class ur fighters depending on their
base stats, (keep as rookie till 70+, class only as fp and so on)
but there are already tons of topics on this and i won't explain it how it works

-seaman doesn't need 11 in air : THAT STAT HAS NO USE
only fighter and bomber stat are valid for fp, so 12f/12b seaman would be nice
seamans stack but 1:100% 2:150% 3:175%

-it is not good to have both bombers and torpers on ur CV,use nations best
KM/IJN = DBs, US/UK = TBs

I think you never played against a full time fighter dragger... I've never had real
problems against locals, but yes when I release my ftrs they can be chewed very fast, and
thats why locals are made for, but if I don't release my ftrs, they will fly in circle
above you and shoot backward till no fuel => your fts no fuel.

It doesn't work very well against high lvl ftrs in locals of course, cause they might take
advantage of the plane capability and just 1shot every single plane in the air.

yes it is bad to keep dragging ftrs and never engaging, but thats what you deserve for
using locals with t2+ capable pilots.

well in my humble opinion from the start you play CV you already made a mistake by putting
others sailor except a pilot(fighter), a bomber, a medic and a seaman(like those Mach.
gunner, etc) it is hard to make that new fighter pilot and them put them 2gather in the
same ship because the level difference but you have another option, you can try to put
those new pilot
in others ship like a BB or any AA ship

or you can try to play 2 CV since you choose IJN like what i did in my CV i made 2
different line(hosho and junryo) it is not hard but its slow but keep trying and it will
worth it in the future and if you want to play like that make sure you put the proper CV crew.

normally at the end a CV player will have:
- 6 fighter(minimum) to 8 fighter pilot (normally they classed them to ace fighter pilot)
- 3 dive bomber(minimum) to 5 dive bomber
- 2 torpedo bomber(minimum) to 4 torpedo bomber
- 1 medic (KM medic tho because IJN doesn't have medic instead they use axis from KM)
- 1 CV seaman(in here what i try to say is a seaman with a great air/fighter/bomber like
11/11/11 or more) or sometimes they got 2 even 3 seaman

what your talking about, my fleet hates me b/c i shoot down there FP who range from
100-115 all the time lol.

And those who say you lose scouting ability think for one second what a scout might just
be used for............hummmmmmmmmmmm...................nothing? guess not


Anyway see me on the feild and bring your T2 or even T3 with your FP boosted 80's lmao ill
be more than happy to eat them up. Ill keep your team blind and give mine sight muahahhaah
