  • SN Seva vs US Seva

Normally I hate the "straight up whine threads," and I apologize in advance because
frankly this sort of is one but its something that is bothering me.

I have both the US and SN Seva on nebraska, and I am curious how these are
supposed to be balanced. It seems that the SN version is better in absolutely every
regard, basically identical except somehow faster and with a better spread. If you are
going to give it a better spread (partially as a factor of the way the gunners are classed
I think) shouldn't you have at least made it slower? Or a lower turning force (sort of
 at this as a balance factor but whatever).

As it is the US version has absolutely no advantage over the SN version which obviously
is not "balance" in any form.

"Very limited data admittedly, but unfortunately my SN crew was high enough to match his."

Does anything even need to be said about what you posted? I think you summed up the flaws
in your testing yourself.

V2 is right. All the fleets have roughly the exact same ship, for prem ships. Having one
nation with better PBB then the others creates a problem. You are missing the point. It
doesn't make sense to have them all the same then one nation be different.

Ignorant ??? for having an opinion that differs from yours? oh well .....

I have conducted tests with a clan mate who has a USN Seva. At the time my main
gunners were only lvl 65 (BVE with 100 vets)), whilst his were lvl 81 (BVE), so not
absolutely balanced, but as close as we could get. He laughed at my spread (fair enough)
but range was identical. His spread was tight, so not sure why USN Seva is deemed to
have such poor spread (but at level I am sure it is, as with most ships, premium or not).
He could also get 2 knots more than 1, with same armour load (just small belt and bulge
until lost a knot) however , again, his supports crew was higher level. Very limited data
admittedly, but unfortunately my SN crew was high enough to match his.
Now that my gunners have reached lvl 70 the spread has improved, but still has some
shotgun effect.

I am not trying to be "ignorant" .... and SN isnt my only nation, I was merely attempting
to add a little balance and suggest ideas . If this is unreal or ignorant, then I humbly
apologise .... I merely expressed an opinion, based on the limited real data I have at my
disposal.

You are being ignorant Redcap. PBBs dont follow national advantages. If you look at them
closely they are all about the same. The issue here isnt that the SN Seva is better then
the USN seva so much as it is better then all the PBBs at this point.

Like Danita said, the USN Seva is probobly the best because of its good damage per salvo.
What counters this high damage per salvo is the poor spread you get. Take that high damage
per salvo add a better spread and more speed and it is suddenly overpowered. That is what
the problem with SN Seva is.

If, once again, the calls to nerf an SN ship are answered for the likes of Gjs3122 aka
Mr "get real" then let's just make sure that it's done in the spirit of the Nation concerned.
If turning force and speed are to be nerfed to below the USN version on the Seva for
example then so be it, but at the same time make the range and reload speed better, as
these are the attributes (as I recall) that the SN fleet are supposed to enjoy. Let's face it
a lack of speed and a non-ability to "swing" in line battles are huge disadvantages, so
range and reload would compensate, dare I say "balance" the equation.

However, will the USN Seva players then cry about range differences ....

It does still intrigue me when there are so many outstanding balancing issues with
vessels and aircraft that have been around for long periods, that a lot of focus is being
placed on SN craft. Also, if the nerf bat is to hit at least balance it with the buffs required
on BB1 (perhaps the worst ship for level I have ever come across), BB2 (gangut), BB6
etc etc.

I think thats really the biggest problem right now. BB1-3 for the SN are mostly
lackluster so the Sevas is a must have regardless of choice. Its Fast compared to the
SN ships, Has a BB4 level FCS and a BB3 range basically.

sn seva is excellent... once you got it you wont want to play with sn bb1-bb2 and
kronstadt... only IM is better

Get real Redcap.
The US seva was already on the verge of being too good ( like the AD), if it were any
better it would have to be brought down.
With that in mind SN seva should have been at best as good as US seva, but with it
being better it should have a heavy encounter with the nerf bat.

Once again the SN NERF squad arrive.
Isn't it about time to realise that ALL nations have good and bad points. Is the SN Seva
slightly better than USN version? Perhaps, but who cares!
Is it still inferior to KM PBB? Perhaps, but who cares!
Is the SN BB6 the worst in the game? Perhaps, but who cares!
Is the SN BB1 the worst in the game. Obviously!! But again, who cares.
Unless you are going to align all ships, in all nations in all levels then there are always
going to be differences. Sometimes that gives a nation an advatage with individual ships
and sometimes a disadvantage. Surely thats part of the game, is it not?
Otherwise, just give all nations the same ships, with same speed, guns, damage, turning
force etc, merely paint them different colours ...... and take all the character out of the
game.

The main problem is some of these things should have been quite obvious from the getgo.
