Sorry Kingsley, what was that? I couldn't hear you over the sound of the American Le Mans
Series at Mosport...

Falcon

A is Calaboie
B is Mosport
C is Shannonville

Calaboie is best just because you usually can't bring road cars for open lapping on the big
track at Mosport. The cost of renting it for the day is something like $10,000 so clubs
usually just rent the DDT track instead.

Shannonville is okay but nothing compared to the other two. It is more similar to the
Toronto Motorsports Park track in Cayuga, near Hamilton.

Wait, I just realized falcon was talking about actually owning an iroc. Those engines drop
into anything. Drop it into a light body 1st gen Rx7 and it will run circles around any
camaro or trans am. You have to pull the engine anyway to do that 10k upgrade. If not then
it's a rip off.

But this isn't a GM F-body or v8 thread. Or even a rx7 thread. But the rotary has been in
only a few commonly known cars such as the Rx-3,7,8, cosmo and some old french car (can't
recall the name).

I know all about that and considered that Falcon. Granny's speed shop sells the kits. I
have considered using a LS1 with a tremec 6 speed from a trans am or camaro from the mid
90's. It's quite expensive to come across a good engine and trans combo. A cheaper method
would be to use a late 80's ford 302 and a 5 speed from a mustang. Since the engine is so
small compared to GM's and the distributor mounts to the front of the intake manifold it's
a super easy swap. Right now I have a good running 13b-t so I'm not about to change it
before attempting to rebuild it next year.

Did you guys know that you can get a custom eccentric shaft and bolt 2 13b's together?
Makes it a 4 rotor. Godzilla rotary!

If you like bridge porting...

He used to run the shop at Scarborough Mazda. And because of him, I have had 4 days of
belting around Mosport.

Not to burst anyones bubble with mazada's but get a IROC camero and drop the racing
package (IE:about 10 grand) <--NOTE: I get discounts on GM made car parts so this may only
be applicable in certain situations.

500HP super charged.

Back on topic though.

My friend's step dad has a RX-7 fully tuned full speced out, i think they topped 200+mph
in it going around town one day...needless to say the cops don't like them.

They also have a 78 camero sitting in the backyard set up for drag :D

Yup. I've heard of them being flooded out from that. Though mine's never done it. The
exhaust just reeks for a couple minutes after doing that.

BTW, oil changes on my FC are some of the easiest I've ever done. And I worked at a lube
shop. The filter is topside and it's already drained when you go to remove it. The spark
plugs are easily accessible too.

Gotta love the sound of this. :D
