Short and Sweet, the French and Italians had good strong navies during WWII.
Both would be workable into the current game, ideally as their own nation, using
their own crews.

The French Navy would be a speedy one at that. Range would be rather long,
either equal to or a bit farther than most german guns at level. French DD's will be
some of the best in game, each with high damaging, fast firing guns. CL's and CA's
would be fast hard hitters that don't present much of a target, but they will be very
vulnrable to shell fire as they didn't mount much armor, a problem remidied in the
BB's. The French carriers would all be rather slow, their aircraft typical until higher
levels. BB's would all be above average, with long firing guns. (don't let the PBB
Dunkerque fool you, they had much better range than that)
Richelieu's guns had a longer range than the Iowa's.
All battleships would be capable of defending themselves from aircraft as well.

As for the Italian Navy, it would be a nation of Cruisers and AA guns. Heavy and Light
Cruisers would be the strongest of any nation in the game. DD's would be a trick to
use. All would have few mounts (usually only 2 or 3) but remain the same size as
other nations DD's. BB's would be typical until higher levels when they improve
drastically. Italian Carriers would be tend to have a little less plane space than their
counterparts, but be able to equip much heavier armament. Italian guns in general
had very long ranges, even over german guns. This was achieved at the grave price
of short barrel lives. The FCS system was very effective, tight salvos are to be
expected. Armor would be rated in giving about 20% stronger than the USN armor.

The Russian navy. Well, they will be very interesting indeed. Right from the beginning
they get very fast destroyers with considerably heavy armament. Russian cruisers
will be a bit more difficult to use. Their armament usually lighter than ships of the
same weight, their only advantages being tight salvos and small profiles. The
Russian battleships will be, for lack of better words, terrors to fight. The early on
ones based of the Gangut class, they are small targets with a lot of guns, the only
disadvantage being lack of AA defense, a problem remedied at the BB4 and 5 level,
the ships here built in practice with current US ones (iowa and montana). Even their
aircraft carriers are well armed, each making good speed and decent capacity. As for
their aircrafts, figters will be good, but bombs and torpedoes relativily weak.

ok i got it for a second bbb line ... after experience of rus-japan war at far east
building of strong bbs started and soon in ww1 and battle of jitland more ambitious
projects started ,the base was already built gangut class...
there were 4 versions with more firepower

so Izmail wasnt the last word in gangut class
ships plans were made some even were laid down in watter after hull construction
was over ,unfortunatelly ww1 started and especially after revolution 1917 all
manufacturing stopped.
izmail,kinburn ,borodino, navarin
modernisation program witch ministry accepted put even more firepower on theese
ships as 305mm seemed a bit low callliber.
to make it cheaper same basic design was used but with thinner armour. massive
firepower was thought to be good compensation for that.
variants as they were called put 406mm 2 barrell gunns on 4 foundations of BBs
4 variants were projected 1,3,4, had 4 * 2 barrel total- 8 406mm gunns.
variant 2 had 3 barrels on 1st and 4th gunn. making it- 10 406mm barrels.

OK, now for the off color humor...

Q: Why does the new polish navy have glass bottom boats
A: So they can see the old polish navy

Do the french ships have extra rear turrets to fire while retreating ? and, Do you get
more experience if you can make the french ships retreat ? Or is retreating how the
french ships get their experience ?

There could be a new game type, Axis vs french. But the french ships are invisible,
cause you never see them in battle.

well thats impossible everything was standardised in old era dreagnoughts had
305mm, from petropavlovsk [german lutzow] 203mm heavy cruiser theres nothing in
between.Izmail has 356 mm ,arhangelsk [english revenge] had 381mm.
final is soviet union type 4 bbs with 406mm.

USSRFoxhound - Because I am lazy and swarmed with midterms. They will be up eventually

Serb - Although your help is appreciated...I already have all the ships you've given me
links too. so.....yeh. What would be most useful is if you could find a better fitting
BB3, one with out 14in guns, as of now the line is much like the UK POW line, where the
ship will only have 14in guns and rely on block shotting.

in unrealised projects-
you have remodel of gangut class remodel 69 kronschtadt with 9 gunns intead of
12 305mm but better speed and aa fire.
IZMAIL who had less armour but 12x 356mm gunns.

how about a seperate test server for this nations?
but i dont see where is are the pictures of ussr scout planes or fighters?

come to think about it its not that hard.
but it would need big patches.
how about introducing a 1 nation at a time method....
we have a poll-[if they decide to ad them]--
of theese 3 nations whitch one should go in first....
so that nation goes ingame first year ,next year second,and third year the last of
these 3.
