Is it worth it to armor a low tier(BB1-3) U.S. BB as opposed to not armoring it?

If you know how to play "UK style" maybe it is worth.
Else, it means jack squat because bb4/bb5/bb6 will probably oneshot you or crippled you
despite your armour set up.
