friendly AA....

i am not suggesting we take out friendly fire, by no means. But that when i have 5
fighters attacking one enemy fighter, and a 4 gold bar friendly CL seeing one enemy plane
and killing all my fighters to get to it. i mean really, he should lose experience for that like
attacking his own team mate.

for non CV players, keep in mind loading fighters takes time, so having them in the middle
of the map then dying takes a while to get replacements out (if unplanned death) also my
CV doesn't get unlimited planes. so my bomber spec'd CV when losing 5 fighters is equal
to losing 42% of my fighter planes.

main suggestion: killing 1 friendly plane is equal to 10% exp/credit/point loss, this should
lower friendly AA (this means killing 10 friendly planes would result in no exp, and killing 3
would result in 70%) no matter which friendly plane is being shot down (ie.
fighter/scout/tb/db)

Why would I send fighters where my team may already have aa cover? AA MAY hit
enemy fighter or scout. My tier 4 fighters WILL hit them. Gets enemy out of way
faster and protects fleet better. I say penalize the person shooting down friendlies
with AA.

Stanley is right.. This is a really stupid idea.

Why would you send planes where your ships already have AA cover? its nonosense.

A cv should engage enemy planes at mid map, or at enemys part of the map.
Not over friendly BBs where AA ships are doing their jobs.

So this suggestion sucks.

I once yelled at a MN aaw for shooting down my planes.
He said
"Lol, get your fighters out of the way."

I said,
"You're using MN AA, everything is in your way."

He said,
"I guess you're right."

How is blitz example related to CV?
First of all, TK with guns and torps are idiotic, and i agree.

If you ever have a chance to play CV and be really good at it, you'll understand why i
disagree. Like you said, people need to have a good team work. CV should do their job
too as a part of a team. CV's job is to scout for BB while killing fighters, scouts, and
bombers at the enemy side. If one knows how to play the CV, one will know that it is
best to DRAG your fighter to the other side. It is not only beneficial to the entire team
but also drastically increasing the winning rate. If your fighters are almost always at the
enemy side, friendly AA will never reach you.

And by all means, if 5 of your fighters are killing just one of the enemy's fighter, the smart
move is to drag the enemy fighter away from the friendly to blind enemy's view. When
reaching the middle, that should be the place you kill the single enemy fighter.

There are dozens of tatics for CV on the forum! They are all fantastic! READ THEM
FYI, fighters shot down by friendly is not only AA ship's fault but also CV's fault.

I disagree with you on this one Stanley. Putting CAP over your teamates is just as
important as bombing the enemy. Not to say that using CVs as scouts for BB is wrong, but
having AA ships intentionally shooting down their own teammates planes is something that
needs to be penalized. Most games are lost because of a complete lack of teamwork. So, for
example, if you are directing airport to a place in the battle thats not the decisive time
and place, its a wasted asset.

You should see what the blitz looks like. There are noobs with DDs and CLs spraying torps
in all directions and hitting friendlies about as often as enemies. A few nights ago I was
so mad I had to walk away, as I had gotten torped in the back 3 out of 4 games.

I think an xp loss for carelessness is great idea.

I am a CV player, and i definitely think this is the worst idea ever. If your planes is shot down
by friendly AA, then it is your fault. You are suppose to DRAG your planes to the other side.
Noob CVs, which i seen way too much, complains about their fighters being shot down
when they refuse to take the battle to the enemy.

Learn to play! It is not the AA noob, but the CV noob! Seriously

If you play it right every time, rarely any planes will be shot down by friendly.

I try to avoid friendly AA fire at all costs, but sometimes if the planes just aren't doing
the job against incoming bombers, I'll go ahead and shoot them down myself.
Shouldn't they be intercepting bombers BEFORE they're within our AA range?

I agree that killing 5 friendly planes to kill 1 enemy plane is BS, though

After my fighters get shot down, I just inform the BBs that I am moving North/South and
"have a nice day".

They had their chance and blew it with my support.

However, sometimes it is an escort that is firing away on autopilot. Escorts are dumb
and will shoot random and wild sometimes. Can't blame a player if his dumb escort
shoots your plane down.

Just work through it, or navigate your planes around AA traffic. If they complain, tell
them to direct their air support towards the AA ship captain.
