  • Yuno's May Update

Dear Fans of Navy Field,

It has been some time since my last update was posted. I hope you are all doing very well.
I have few things to update today so please read through them carefully.

1. New Navy Field Website
This new site is completed as of this moment and is currently being tested by GMs and TNF
members. There are just a few things needing to be fixed before we launch it. The reason
why it takes so long is because the new site is completely made from scratch. It has a new
item system, new design, new coding, etc.; everything is new. Therefore, when the new site
is out, you will have to fill out your information again as the only detail you will have
from this current one is your account name. We will give you more detailed information
concerning this before launching the site. It will take just another few weeks. We are
aiming to release at the end of May. Thank you very much for your patience. However, I bet
you will like the new site and believe it's worth the wait.

2. Upcoming Events
We are about to hold the biggest NF event in NF history for showing our appreciation to NF
players. It's also part of the NF 5th Anniversary and will be hosted alongside Xfire.
There will be many ways to enjoy event and we뭭e prepared some great prizes such as iPad
2s and high-end graphics cards. The event will be held during the end of June or beginning
of July. Detailed information will be coming soon, so this is just a heads up.

3. New NF Project "Monster vs National Fleet"
Are you familiar with this ship? This is new monster ship that we are currently working
on. This ship is not for players (sorry), but this will be used for entertaining you. It
will be used for special Fleet vs Monster ship or National Defense vs Monster ship Events.
Your fleet will need to register for the events and when your fleet defeats the ship
prizes will be awarded. The ship is graphically complete and will be coming this summer.



4. Other things currently under development
New submarines are graphically complete and will be launching this summer as well. Also, a
new "Harbor Assault" game mode is currently undergoing the design process and we are
aiming to finish it by this winter. We are making a completely new game mode which is
different from the current HA for more entertainment. We have also been working on NF
client stability enhancements so it runs more smoothly on some laptops and low spec PCs.

That wraps up my information for this update. It may not be the most detailed, but I just
want to give you updates on what we are doing since some of you may have wondered. We will
give you much more details by Newsletter and forum posts soon. I thank you all for your
continued support of Navy Field.

thats the only interessting part here. thats all...everything else is just useless..we
need to get the bugs fixed and not a super stupid buged ship or mode..

fix the bugs we have u dev.-noobs!

*Please remind me, when was the last time TNF ran fleet events?*
HAs, FLs, 10vs10, etc at least in bismarck server we had plenty of this
ill love to see a fleet team fighting against some of these monsters it will be fun
a new tipe of event its always welcome as long its not a crash festival as the evil santa
event was

NF has been retail for 5 years now... if you were in Beta then you have played for more
than 5 years

Ok, one more thing..
Am I the only one being confused about "5th Anniversary of Navy Field" ?

I remember that I am playing for more than 6 years now.. so why is it 5th Anniversary
then?

The idea of the new monster ship is just silly. Not silly because of the awkard design and
specs that it might have, but because the sole intent of this ship is to provide players
some kind of 'Fleet' Event.

Please remind me, when was the last time TNF ran fleet events? I just recall dampre's
armada fleet war, but it looked as it was ran by dampre alone with minimal support from
the rest of the team.

Bottom line is that you can improve this game so much without any programming efforts at
all by running in a regular fashion fleet/team based events, yet there is a lack of these
that has had to be filled by the players in a costly manner.

Also sub crews get too fat... 120 supports with level 80ish sub crew and you'll have
to start trimming sailors in order to keep at least .2 belt.

I never knew exp penalty changed per ship, i thought it was always 75% exp at +- 15 levels
and 50% at 20 levels?

1. New website :
Not really a neccessity, but oh well.

2. Upcoming events :
Eagerly looking forward to it. Am more interested in the EXP boost and item drops
than the iPads though. The best would be a coin event with EBBs and ECVs as
prizes.

3. Monster ship :
Totally fugly and a complete waste of time. TIME that would have been MUCH
BETTER SPENT rendering unique CV6s for UK and IJN, as well as new PBBs for US, UK
and KM to replace the borrowed clones we have now.

4. New SS and HA gamemode :
My HH PCA and CL eagerly awaits the influx of subs when these are released. Would
make a wonderful food source as I level up new sailors.
As for the new gamemode, it's about time there's something new to play for other
than simply eliminating the enemy team.

SS5 is ok, SS players don큧 need more powerfull subs but they need sub on higter
level because exp penalty with hight level crew is terrible due to huge difference ship-
sailor level... SS5 could have similar stats like SS4 but level about 95-100...

exp penalty on subs (KM subs + showed exp on 96 lvl ship)...e.g. 100 lvl sailor on U-
flak recieve only 87% experience due to penalty for ship/sailor level diference...

SS5? what? WHO has asked for SS5's?....? You want to know what to work on? Type
a word like .. i dont know.."crash" in to the GD search and see the 12
pages of threads, and compare
that to entering, oh lets say.."SS5", which gives you a whopping 8 threads.
