  • Brooklyn vs. Northampton: READ HERE

    09. 30. 2008 16:11

LordKelvin
So, it recently occurred to me, why is there not already a thread like this here, given how
frequently this question is asked? Well, despite all the explanations that have been given
over the years, not many have been sticky-worthy, so I guess I'll pick up the stick and write
a sticky-worthy post explaining the differences between the two lines, and the ships
themselves. And hell, might as well go for holding the record for most stickies, right?

Now, while most people who do bother to search can just look at either of my two stickies
for much more detailed information, most people don't seem to bother to do so, so I may as
well put this up for people to read. It may as well cut down on the headaches that we get
in the future.

As always, stuff in the below posts in case I need to modify something.

Sorry I must have been tired when I posted that question. I meant Oakland not
cleveland.

1. Brooklyn comes before Cleveland, and they're both on the same line.

2. If you want to have it easier, go down the Brooklyn line first. But it would be wise
to level up another BO for the Northampton line for later use, since it helps you get
your support sailors ahead.

My BO just made it to 38 and my gunners are 38 and 37. I am assuming that I'm
better off staying in my cleveland for now before moving to the Brooklyn to lvl up my
gunners some more. Would this be the smart thing to do?

the pre-remodel tenny is a very small ship, and it is easy to dodge with it is shorter
and skinnier than the penny, and a little smaller than the NM to...

Nice work on this. I have been a US player since I started the game a while back
and I like the presentation here. Nice work.

Northampton line get Tenn and Brook line get Colorado... just thought I would add
my 2 cents.

I'm shooting for a CV this run so North hamp is my only choice. Too bad the Brook doesn't
run down that line, or else I'd pick it over the Hamp.

I went with NH first time because I had decided I wanted a CV, and even tough I didn't
know much, I managed to get result because I quickly caught on that rushing was stupid,
and to keep my range.

My main mistake was putting HHE shell on a CA tough. but we are all nub until we get a BB.
some manage to stay nub still :P

btw...who said county was worse CA Oo? the thing got crazy range and can HA a little,
raining 8" death on another CA.
