Some things never change

Done the local fighter thing as a wee nubbins(which I still am) in GB and......

It works with exceptions such as a much smaller CAP sphere given the LFs low flight time,
which requires you to be pro-active in searching for incoming threats......which, doesn't
seem to happen much over here....

Other thing is that all it takes for this wonderful relationship to end is an opposing
carrier with T3s to take offense to your fighter cover.....

But I digress. For AAers....... the only ones I get ticked with are the ones that shoot my
places as they are launching with NO enemy planes around AT ALL(like at the beginning of
the game). That is the only time. The rest of the time I accept it as the price of doing
business. Besides, if I see the battle line throwing up the aerial iron curtain, you
better believe I'm going to pull my fighters away.

As for an exp/credit penalty......no as it would just drive the whole lot away and while
part of me would rejoice in a flak free sky, I think it would be boring.

xpalax has it down pat.

One big issue is people with 'more NF experience then anyone ever in the world, ever'
(primadonnas) seeing the ranking of a CVs crew via their 'bars' and assuming they will be
useless. Local fighters have changed this significantly. Many low level CVs use local
fighters now and as such will not send masses of fighters out into the field; they will
however provide very efficient protection to their team mates if given the chance.

Having AA 'pros' make a snap judgment and then refuse to accept a simple mistake is
maddening. More so because there was no way the AA ships could have known the CV loaded
local fighters until they launched.

I have been told a few times now that "you're a noob level CV, your FPs will suck". I
have responded with "they are locals, watch". One common reaction to this is to receive
no answer at all. The AA ship may then let the local fighters do their thing. More often
you will be called a 'noob' and they will AA everything anyway.

Locals are more efficient then anything at killing enemy aircraft(altitude and so forth do
not affect them as it does flak); AA ships should take note of this.

In war, sacrifice is sometime needed :P
In virtual game war, does sacrifice concept applie too?

Cubone, like you said its situational. And th e4.7/6.1 don't exactly have the
forgivness
other AA guns do with their short range.

As a AA BOAT, I try to not hit friendly planes when ever possible. 2 fighters vs 8
fighters, ill save you the misery.

As a BB with AA, Ill do every thing in my power to keep myself alive as a BB5.

Now as cubone touched on was "Controlled trigger happy" Which is something that
can
be done very easy with UK and IJN AA. It is the KMer (lack of US AAers these days)
AA
that I see the most problems with, specifically, them god damned edmen noobs with
the super fast 3.46" that just shoot everything in sight.

But I <3 you anyway master of AA. Oh, and its not like it was in Beta, there are very
few pro's among us. That includes CVs, BBs, and AAers alike.

Oh and im not saying im pro, but I try my damned best to try to be.
