I asked this question in the Ask TeamNF portion of the website (Under Support,
Team N.F.).

"Do you ever plan on removing torpedo detonation at end of run?"

Their reply: NO.

I am getting sick of this shit. Unless some really incredible changes get made to this
game before retail, you can count me out.

They only plan to release in December, and that is still some time away. Who knows, maybe
they'll be able to fix everything or they might just push back the release date again.

I honestly don't know how I feel about paying for this game.....If they make us pay
one flat rate of 11 bucks per person nomatter how many ships they have and so on,
I probably won't pay because I just don't think its worth the money.
Now before a mod or mod wannabe defends nf by saying that no official price has
been set, let me just say I know that already and only said what I would not pay IF
that WAS the official price. (code for team nf to make it 11 bucks so I will leave them
alone :D)

knwoing NF situation about how they have to start making money soon people
would not mind to pay for this game if its good enough however this game is not! so
people will not be playing this game for free much longer, just hope that when this
does go retail its worth wat your paying

"I'm sure 95%..."

Well yah, who would want to pay for a game if they can keep playing it for free?

i only got a couple things to say first of all this game in no way shape or form is
ready for retail wat so ever, i sometimes think TNF is rushing things trying to make
money. there is so many problems that need to be fixed until this game even thinks
about going retail, but if you have no choice that money is needed then this game
better be a low low price.

im sure 95% if not 100% of the people that play this agrees

Please CaptDDB, do not use caps. It doesn't help you nor any reader to read your post if
you use caps. You will only be taken as a fool and regarded as one however long your
presence remains on the NF forums, and even in the game.

The torps exploding at the end of the round has nothing wrong with it. It is just part of
the game, if you want everything to be mirrored to realism, then why do you still play
this game? Honestly there are probably hundreds of minute discrepancies between real
naval warfare (and historical naval warfare) and this game we lovingly (or in the case of
you whiners, obnoxiously) call Navyfield, and then there are the various large ones. So
please just halt your complaints and ask yourself "how can I improve myself? How should I
train myself to be more aware of torps?"

This is a game, and being such, there are many things different from reality. That being
said, you have made the decision to cope with the game and its operations when you agreed
to the EULA. So if you are discontent with the game, just quit, otherwise, please do not
bring up any unjustified spam/arguements when TeamNF already responded.

No offense but...READ ABOUT TORPS!!! THEY CAN RUN OUT OF STEAM YOU KNOW!!!
THEY WOULD JUST FALL TO THE BOTTOM SO YOU GUYS SHOULD THANK TEAM NF FOR ATLEAST GIVING YOU
ONE MORE CHANCE TO DAMAGE YOUR TARGET BY HAVING A TORP BLOW UP NEAR
BY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Von and others,
The historical precendent is contact fuses verses proximity fuses. Contact fuses
explode on contact thus the name! Proximity relied on the magnetic fuse that
sensed abnomilies in the water - thereby causing explosions in the water.

Therefore, it is accurate to have explosions at the end of the torp run near a ship.
The Explosions when no ship is present appear to be game markers to show the
torps are done.

Respectfully,
Seekrieg

Von, You must agree that complaining in the way you are right now will get you no where as
you reiceved a direct answer to a direct question.

I hate to say it, but you have to remember just because you think it's a GREAT idea,
doesnt mean that the Dev team does. Would you prefer someone to go through each of your
ideas and tear them apart or just politely say "no", and work on some of the crash and bug
issues?

I know that the dev team is working on some new maps and some new ideas for missions and
all of that, but they need to get the game much more stable first.

I hope you understand that TeamNF DOES care about what you think, and is very concerned
with everything that people here say and do.
