A vote kick system would work fine. I used to play a online FPS that had the option added
by modders. If modders can do it for a FPS then why can't NF devs? I'll use Piombo as the
example afk host. Here's what happens:

Audessy: "Host?"
Other player: "HOST???!?!"
Audessy: "Afk host!"
Audessy types: /voteban piombo
Server Message: "Piombo has been flagged as AFK. 1/10 votes. 9 needed"
(At least 9 other people do the same command.)
Server Message: "Piombo has been banned from the battleroom."

From then, one of the 10 people who voted will become the new host.


No unreasonable punishment.
The game starts in good time.
Problem solved.

forget that if i should be able to ban people for being morons...

i should also be able to ban moron players that

leach
bomber whore in CV5-6
etc.

host afk maybe due to disconnection

I respect and enjoy these last few Post they offer some better solutions but if you are
the Host of a room and ppl spam *AFK HOST* or *GO* then you are eligable to BAN them after
a warning of *NO SPAM GO* and and if some one says the Host is AFK when they not kick them
from your room as soon as they say it and if all the Hosts did this more often there would
be less of it happening

60% of the host that host a room are the same host time after time
30% are hosts that host from time to time
10% are noob host
out of that10% 50% don't know how to host or how to ballance a game
this are the host's that go afk the most

if u play u konw who a good host is and who is not
i myself go into rooms that are hosted by the 60% host
and leave the 30 and 10 alloon if poseble
if not ill host myself

wat is worse is the go and akf calling noobs
these are the guys that need a short ban
however if a host go afk time after time a 24h ban is ok in my book

its simple if u host stay at your keyboard

Its very simple....you create a room, you stay in that room untill it starts or closes.
You have 3 warnings per week and then a 24 hour ban. You want to get a drink then get it
before you start a room. Is that hard???

My thoughts exactly. When I am waiting for a room and none shows up for a few secs, i'll
often start a room just to get one going. There's no way I'd start a room with a 24 hour
ban hanging over my head. Hosting is a service.

Better solution: Auto start rooms when they reach 20 BB 8 CV or full capacity, unless host
starts sooner.

^^Yes you can Ban ppl from your room for spamming *GO* when you are host give a warning
then if they keep it up then u ban them from the room you are host simple .


and to the ppl who say they might not be afk on purpose its the fact that if you are
Hosting a room then you need to be responsible for Hosting not being *ALT-TAB* which = AFK
to me cus your not in NF anymore and ther for not being respectful to the other players
and those who say a 24hr. ban is to harsh your probly at fault more often then others
thats my guess
