Subs have crit dive to avoid damage. If they're psychic, then they MIGHT get to crit depth before HH go off. Even then, they've got a 50% chance of being hit by the HH anyway thanks to crappy coding (I've been hit by HE shells at crit depth, so don't tell me it works). Whether they make it or not, they're still taking 1/3rd of their health away, unless they're quad gold bar subs, to which rules do not apply.

SS4 one shooting any BB. Well, if the BB has no bulge, no SD, and no ability to dodge a torp, then a sub has a chance to cripple them. An IJN SS4 might be able to kill said BB thanks to having 8 torps with higher damage rating.

As usual, the people bitching about subs the loudest are the ones that have no idea how to drive their ships, nor what it takes to drive a sub.

Have a nice day.

True mate.

Any forum posts that has SS or Sub in the title will become a flame war between sub supporters and anti-sub supporters. No exceptions.

I don't know why I am doing this, but...
a) increase SS air supply (going from traveling 1/2 to 8/10s of the map without surfacing depending on level)
b) 3-5 torps max to sink ANY large surface vessel (depending on bulge, angle and place of impact or proximity)
c) decrease their speed dramatically (going from 6 to 15 max submerged and 12 to 25 max depending on level)
d) create an awash/periscope depth mode from which subs must shoot their torps and they CAN BE run over by surface ships (with consequent dmg to both depending on ship running over it. This will also almost completely get rid of humping)
e) subs can always be run over by friendly or foe surface vessels when surfaced.
f) subs can be sent down with 3 or 4 well placed 150mm HHE shots.
and, I was forgetting, g) a trail for periscope/conning tower when awash.

Then, I will start believing in SSs.

Done

*Know the running over stuff is impossible in this game engine but...

Subs are also fragile, yuno himself said it. So it must be right.

Yuno and other SDE figureheads also asserted that there was nothing wrong with subs either..../s

CommanderR
There is something wrong with subs...
That fact is the subs die so easly subs can die underwater crazy fast 1 7x HH launcher can kill most subs with less then 900SD and 2 7xHH can kill any subs with full DP...
Also DC range underwater is quite large...& A Molke with 5 5x (aka the non PHH can still kill a sub via full salvo)
People are uses HH on there T slots over AA in there BBs . Also esourts that are AA boats that now have sonormen and see you before you see them...

Subs being killed underwater by HH easily? Oh my....

Are those same subs dying underwater to HH as easily as BB being sunk by subs?
Want a tissue, CommanderR? Gimmie a frakin break.
