  • Any Changes For SS ?

Are there going to be any changes regarding Subs? In like near future 2-3 months ? I am cosidering getting a BO reset to join the BBorg army.

So the sub got 3 min underwater, then pop a smoke, for 10 sec, get back underwater for 1 minute, repop a smoke etc etc.

Totally balanced.

Remove the smoke popping ability from sub, it will already be much better.

Nerf torp splash, Other than if the torp is REALLY close as with KM prox torp (yes they existed), the damage should be none at all.

Nerf the torp reload. torps already do enough damage like this thanks a lot.

finally, BUFF the air time. Yes I agree they should be able to stay underwater for longer. Just not with all the assets they have right now.

Also, I do have a sub. A KM SS3. And funny enough, anytime a DD tried to close in with DC I shot 2 torp to box him. And splash-killed it. I miss by a mile and I get a kill with a single torp :) So balanced!

Dont forget too, that in order to use HH with main guns, a BB need a 2nd set of gunners, and IJN/KM have AA-specialized gunners that can't use HH as AA, and most US and UK BB go full support.

So only a handful of BB can use HH, and even then, you have to choose between HH and AA. Thats a bit like choosing between blocking the punch to the face or the kick to the arse. You still get f***ed somewhere.

Yeah. How are you not embarrassed so say that in public? You understand a lvl 12 FF can kill any sub easily with a good player? You are willing to state that you cannot deal with the unique abilities of a sub and counter them effectively or evolve at all as a player. You have INSANELY OP depth charges, and HH that operate like mini DC with about 20x the RL range and 100x the power. You have SS nerfed to under 3 min underwater.... Yes only 3 min. Yes, an SS can drop 6-8 torps into the water... and you are saying it is 'OP' for a ship to get sunk by 6-8 torps all hitting the same spot on a ship simultaneously? What a riot. SS were designed to kill ships. They do what they were designed to do. On the other side of the coin you have BB6 firing main guns that never existed , faster than a crew can serve a howitzer. They can soak up 12-20 torps and still keep on driving. sometimes with only SD bruised. But w/e, if you don't feel silly crying about something a lvl 12 FF can roll over like a truck, then more power to you.

(P.S. when driving my BB, I am rarely sunk by SS, but then again. I pay attention to where they are, call to ASW ships and generally counter them. See, I would rather fight them ingame, than try to get them killed by crying in the forums ^^)


I agree with you m8. Subs have to put up with so much crap that it is ridiculous. A DD shouldn't be able to fling 100 HHs half way across the map and sink a sub when HHs are so OPed that it takes only like 5 to sink one. Yes I am exaggerating some, but not too far off. Yes you can critical dive but when everybody and their brother is flinging HHs then it is sort of hard.

I find it funny that you say its ok for a lvl 60 ship to murder a lvl 120 one, but not for a lvl 20 one to kill the lvl 80 ship.

Especially since HH are kinda on the shoot everywhere style for low level, and quite hard to get a powerful hit at mid-long range, since they shot all over the place.

Blame the OP PHH concept SDE came with to make money on the back of the sub being unbalanced if you must.

In a perfect world, there would only be one free balanced HH.

But what you get is one underpowered free one and one OP PHH that oneshots BB3-4 when shot in anti-ship manner.

But dont come here bringing a level argument when the argument can be turned right back to you.

All you noobs in your less than 900 SD subs .... you dont count. Dont come complaining about HH or that you are so easy to kill, your like a BB with no SD and crappy gunners saying his ship needs to be boosted. Just move along, you dont qualify to comment on SS balance.

And i am a SS player, i powerleveled 2 ss4's at the same time (you see whats wrong here ?). Both have 900 SD, both rape like nobody business. So i fail to see why people are complaining about their SS..

The shipclass is boring, its too simple, theres no variety at all, the only people i can see that play them seriously either suck at doing anything else and need an easy shipclass to make them feel special. Or they are the type who play other games with trainers and cheats because they fear challenge.

You shouldn't say that about the people who plays SS seriously. I have 2 SS (actually 1 and a half), I enjoy them, I trained a lot with them, I try to be a good SS player (I played lots of FL/FW games with my SS), and you can't say what you said, because you don't know how I play NF with anything else, and you don't know what I do in other games.

About the topic, the guy who started the thread just asked about changes on SS, I think if you want to, you should discuss that kind of things in another thread.

Unfortunately you find more subs then people with HH so it seems that subs>HH
