L2 was originally looked at first as part of balancing of the max displacement item that was later removed, but it was pointless removing the improved displacement and submergence balancing that had already been done to the L2 by the time we chose to remove the displacement part.

Also, BB5 balancing is an ongoing project, this isn't the last you'll hear of changes to BB5s, L2 included.

Guys my question is.....doesnt the harassing cv player enought?
almost every game i see a "noob cv" on the chat...and anyone who "play" the game saw that.
Yes is reportable but, meh i've to spend half of my game time to report people? really???
why don't you patch the whole aircraft system in ONE patch instead making live server a sort of test server?

We have extended current NF Expert Festival until May 5, 23:59 (PST).
Players who missed few event days may still earn items.

nothing for the players who played everyday and filled the form. no extra places for us to fill . i could of had a couple of days off if i knew u would do that

I am not one to be greedy and I appreciate the experts, but I filled out the card every day even when I had the flu and it caused physical issues to get said wins.  I too would appreciate a chance to continue the card for the duration, but I doubt it will be offered.

We've been hearing a lot from some vocal members of the test team and that's good news.  It's great that some of the ambitious player base is trying to reinvigorate some fire in the game.  Based on some of what has been said though I do have a simple question.

Did the test team know about the contents of this patch before the forum announcement?

I know they've been testing many things, my question is whether or not they were aware before the forum announcement that certain changes would and would not be happening with this patch.  Specifically things like the fact that the Lion 2 would see change and other BB5s would not, and that T5 scouts were being scaled back and other aircraft would not.

Just FYI...The actual Valiant base speed was -3 when I logged in this morning.

We were acctually planning things like the L2 and a complete overhaul of planes in general and like the day before we were going to request a patch to the test server ship tuning was ninja'd onto us.

So that was fun, now that its finally over (more or less) we can go back to finishing these projects. While personally I would have rather withheld certain aircraft changes this patch until next month it happened due to certain tuning items affecting fuel (aka broken french and italian T1-4 and the way over fueled T5's which had double (lol) the fuel of T4s.

The test team has a direct line to the GM/Devs and offer suggestions (proposal documents and theoretical numbers) to SDE directly. Its up to SDE to then patch the test server for us to prove a theory with evidence. After that it goes live. Very rarely will detailed posts *prior* to going live be shared on the forums. Why? Because noone loves balances     [sarcrasim] read dirty great big giant nerfs [/sarcasim]      to their favourite content that was poorly implimented over 2 years ago.

So yeah while I can't share exact specifics on what we are working on, know that its mostly buffs from now on and will affect EVERYTHING that flies and assuming it gets the green light from SDE will be EPIC.

I do appreciate the prompt response, and completely understand that you can't share specifics on everything you're working on and by no means intend to step on or demean any of the effort you folks have put in.  I'm very interested in the answer to my specific question however, and I think it's fairly within the realm of things you should be able to discuss.  I may have been vague with it before so I'll try to be more specific with it.

The official patch notes for patch 1.369 were posted on the forum 05.01.2013 @ 12:09 PST.  I only wish to know if members of the test team were given prior knowledge of the specific contents of the patch.  Not knowledge as in everything in the patch is something you have tested,  because you have tested this and more.  I want to know if the test team knew before the 12:09 patch announcement that specifically the Lion 2 would see changes and the H44 wouldn't, for example.  Or I know that you have done a lot of testing on planes, did you know before the announcement that in this patch T5 scouts would be getting slower and carry less fuel while fighters/bombers would remain as they are for now on the live server?

We get the notes maybe a day or 2 before it hits live (sometimes extra stuff is thrown in we are not aware of), but once it reaches that point SDE is busy compiling the update and further changes can't be made. So in this example I wasn't able to pull the T5 scout speeds (fuel was fine), I would have rather done the speeds with everything else for the T5s. Its all getting fixed in the end anyway.
