Hey LK, I would add a minor HH tactic tip on this one.. when using HH as your
weapon of choice, use the "Gradual firing mode" by pressing <F4> key. So that
when your first shot misses your target, you still have another chance to aim and
FIRE! after all of your HH turrents are used...the waiting game begins, LOL!

Guide has been updated.

I've had to overhaul pretty much the entire thing due to the hedgehog release, so now
most of the sections are split up between long-range and short-range ASW tactics. I've
also included my video detailing hedgehog usage, though no pictures for any of the
long-range ASW parts yet.

I haven't completely eliminated the parts detailing usage of regular depth charges
despite their relative reduction of usefulness compared to hedgehogs, since they can
still be useful on ships that can't mount hedgehogs (or for people who still want to get
up close and personal against subs). So whether you want to continue using regular
depth charges or switch to hedgehogs, this guide contains information on both.

Ah. That's a good explanation. So by finding a sub to attack, I'm inadvertently drawing
friendly fire on myself. Makes me wish for forward throwing depth chargers, or hedgehog,
but preferably SQUID. Anything to have a little standoff on a sub.

Thanks for the guide, btw, Lord Kelvin.

A *lot* of players fail to realize that those submerged subs are in fact submerged. I
imagine that all of that futile firing adds to their reputation of being indestructible.

I've discovered another hazard of ASW. Your own team busily bombarding a submerged sub
while you're trying to line up a DC attack. Granted I suck at it, but a little
professional courtesy would be nice.
