it's not slow.
it has a decent speed, as long as you don't AW it :D.

chase, slightly worse for running and gunning.

Delta, L2 has 40 degree guns not 30.

Speedcap 23/39 if using adequate guns and adequate crew.

IMHO, I rank the BB5s as:

Super Yamato>Alsace>L2=Montana>H44.

This is based purely on the technical aspects of the ship (gun range, gun angles, AA
capability, survivability, hitbox size, speed, etc) and does not take the driver into
account. I have seen plenty of under utilized SYs and plenty of very effective H44s.

QV for instance can kill an AWed L2 using HE or AP..doesn't matter..thus my
conlusion it can't tank any ship.

my vote goes to SY, at least in GB enviroment it's a beast in right hands...

L2 is a great BB5 in its own right.

Strengths:

- Powerful shells
- Good range (is only outranged by H44)
- 40* guns make aiming easier
- Can mount armor effectively

Weaknesses:
- Rather large hitbox
- No practical AA
- Can be slow with lower level support/armor
- Not so great turning force
