Like all organisations there is a mix of good, bad and indifferent.
The problem within TNF is that they have very different ideas of what they should be doing. Talk to one MOD and they will tell you that TNF is here to help the community by running events etc. Talk to a different MOD and they will tell you the opposite.
There ARE corrupt MODs, I know it, you know it, everyone who doesn't live under a rock knows it, but for the most part many can be called incompetent, not corrupt.
A lot of the issues however stem from SDE, this game panders to a child like philosophy ingame and on the forums which just crushes any type of expression you want to have. Ultimately, TNF do have a raw deal a lot of the time, as they have to deal with the fallout from SDE mistakes and other events but the "perks" of being in TNF (And believe me, the major one is a BIG one) easily make up for it.
The one problem I have is that TNF is not accountable in a lot of cases. The community has no input on punishments for bias and can see no tangible evidence of it being carried out except booting. Until players are more involved with what goes on within TNF there will always be questions about their behaviour, a lot of them are unfounded, but at the same time, a lot of them aren't.
I would like to see a group of players added to the Head MOD and 2 server heads who decide on action against Moderators and who also discuss what should be done about players who act up. Some self moderation could be employed if we were actually given the respect of those who are in charge, but we never have, and never will.
