Any NF rule metion the CV FLAG should go back , go back . It with out freedom.

last week , I often be flag. I run near BB battle line for suppurt shoot down enemy
planes with local FT but BB order to me to go back!

The Flag meaning commander, right? If not, pls advice us the better meaning of
FLAG.

anyway, i think Flag should be commander, but players not ever think flag is
commander and give many order to FLAG as a FLAG is his son.
But that isn't me.
The flag should give orders to other player instead other player orders to flag.

one battle I be flag and control north group.
I try to push BB go forward (dont back) untill I got win.
And that battle , I get new history of NF that I(FLAG) meet enemy Flag at center of
map. Ha Ha, no have any appointment. after enemy BB was sunk by our BB team
with I command them to go forward( my tactics ) I try to rush forward for lead the BB
to follow us. also escort BB to cover.(I know my flag was modify good with high
speed and small shape, I have power of turn force ,so I can do like this) nice BBs
agree my plan and go with us.
So enemy BB north sunk all. and I found enemy FLAG is alone and going to me.
I tell our BB that don't sink him. until my ship(FLAG) overlap enemy flag. as FLAG
huming FLAG, Ha Ha

That time all player isvery surprise that meeting. Thank a lot BB that game who join
our plan.

That is nice time on NF. everybody may have a nice time, If they play with together.
NOT ORDER FLAG. If your Flag have leadership.

Some battle, I can't have a good BB. They order us to back and say noob.
someone tell us that is common sence the FLAG shouldbe back.
I tell him that common sence in 1942. now is 2011.

Thank you
Thanajak

The term "flagship" is misleading, as it implies a strong ship; the best of the
fleet/team. They should change it to something weak, such as hospital ship, where perhaps
your ship sprite is changed as well.

Another point that hasn't been raised yet is the issue of any CV being on the line.
Slightly off the line in order to provide better support (as opposed to way back at
spawn) is ideal. However, get onto the line or too close to it and you run the risk of
hurting your own BBs. Battleships require large swaths of ocean to manuever; the
higher you go up in tier, the more space is usually required. Ships that drive in
straight lines are usually sunk fairly fast. Dodging shells (whether it be AA or HE/AP)
is a very important aspect of the game. Perhaps view it as your BBs trying to protect
you rather than them trying to treat you like a child. They don't want to lose any
more than you do.

Thanajak, think of it this way. Think in terms of the game "Capture the Flag" that a lot
of people play when they are children/teenagers.

Can that flag talk or give commands? No! because it is just a flag. The objective is for
that team to stop the enemy team from getting to their flag. That is how this battle mode
is run. Being the flag doesn't mean giving commands, it simply means staying behind your
team so that they can effectively keep the enemy team from getting to you. End of story!

Not sure what kind of responses you were expecting but so far the reply's I've read are
right on target. Listen to these players and adjust your tactics for the sake of your
team. I think I may even copy and paste your Post on my Fleets site for the lulz..prob in
the fails section.

Here you have an opportunity better yourself as a player and a team mate.

Thanajak, you can just as easily give orders that no one will follow from well behind
your teams lines.
Being Flagship only means you are a main target for the other team, it does not
mean that you are in command.
If you really wanna be in command of something get your self an escort.
Sometimes they do what you tell them to do.

@ Phantom, we aren't just talking about a little behind the line. Our BBs are swerving
around him while shooting. He's ON the line. No need for me to bomb him when the other
team can just shoot him....

true, some cv player does like bombing the flag first so if your spotted near the bb line
they would take a chance bombing the hell out of the flag, some even passing lot of fps
just to bomb the flag behind

I played a couple games with you yesterday. First, you started a confrontation in the
lobby about Flags being commanders. Then, after you were unfortunately the flag, you drove
up on the gunline in a hosho with your lousy L50 locals. When people told you to get back
as you were in range of the BB5s and 6s, you started calling us noobs and said we weren't
doing anything right. Funny, you got blasted on the gunline and cost us the game. Next
round, you were back in the lobby mouthing off that you hoped you were flag again.... you
did, and you got sunk again costing your team another win. I'm not sure what is more
ironic, you call me a noob when I'm in a CV double your level and did more damage and
killed a heck of a lot more planes, or the fact that you have this tactical plan you think
is amazing yet it keeps failing.

First, off, the AA ships can knock down planes WAY faster than your locals. All your
locals do is get in the way of the guns. Sound logic would be to send fighters over the
enemy's lines where they can PREVENT the bombers from even getting close to our BBs. At
the same time, they'll provide vision so our BBs can shoot.

Second, rushing BBs isn't a good idea. All that happens is that the BB1-3s that don't have
the range to reach and are waiting for their chance, suddenly get easy targets. You claim
to be "a commander" haven't you ever heard of a manuver called "capping the T"???? That
is exactly what you advocate and it would end up getting your team sunk. It makes no
sense, as you would then still have to follow them to be effective and then you would be
in range of every gun on their gun line.....

Finally, you are claiming the flag is the commander, its not. Its a type of game, no
different then say op convoy. SDE didn't put you in charge of anything. I saw your
performance a couple times yesterday and you are lousy. You were the flag in back to back
battles and you lost both games. Frankly, driving on the gun line as flag is both selfish
and stupid, as you cost 20 other people a chance to get winning XP who instead are
garaunteed losing XP.

Take your hosho, your lousy play, and your bad attitude back to blitz. Learn how to handle
fighters. Learn how to respect other players, and learn how to win in a GB2 as obviously
you keep getting sunk and costing your team XP.
