War5pite

Just added to the test server!

Not alot in detail yet but soo far quite concerning in the potential for how bad this could go wrong, anyways heres some screenshots.

All the available items

[

And I guess the means to bolt them to your ship

All we know is they are Olive funded items and have a duration of 3 days.

Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.

There should be more information available this weekend about how the tuning system could be implemented which adds more clarity over and above the rather 'raw' picture presented by simply looking at the system on the test server. Undoubtedly some will still feel the same but it does put it more in to context for discussion.

To my understanding one person spends X olives and buys item Y, which gives him a big advantage over another player who does not have it.

I dont see what needs to be explained.

I just hope that SDE will do an appraisal like the following:

(without "fine tuning") X number of users * A dollars spent on average

GREATER or SMALLER SALES THAN

(with "fine tuning") Y number of users * B dollars spent on average

???

And even in the case of fewer users spending more on average, this might enter a vicious circle where people don't play anymore because there are not enough online (just log into NFEU if you want to see for yourself).

It might be that this is exactly what SDE has in mind - to wind down the game now. In corporate strategy, this is called "harvesting"...

Up until now, I really liked the game (even though gameplay options are somewhat limited).

This "fine tuning" might just push me off the edge (to not play anymore)

Arrgh

Complete imbalanced gameplay catering to the deepest pockets.

There's no point in complaining though,  it's just going to fall on deaf ears and blind eyes in the end.

Surely they haven't forgotten the Hackshield disaster?

How they implemented it heavy-handedly only to be forced to get rid of it? That was not just because people were complaining, but because they weren't playing anymore.

There should be more information available today.

This is already causing as much disruption and unhappiness as the HS debarcle and all we have is silence from SDE. And not being insulting but there is little point just posting there'll be a message at the weekend, in the mean time you have mods calling themselves 'god' banning people with no rule breaking and a lot of unhappy players.

You don't have any servers to merge anymore.

Looks like it's time to quit, I spend quite alot of money on this game, but this is now gone too far, i'll not spend another dime if this is introduced. They are not enhansing the game experience, just upping their wages, it will kill the game, well, for me definately.
