War5pite

Just added to the test server!

Not alot in detail yet but soo far quite concerning in the potential for how bad this could go wrong, anyways heres some screenshots.

All the available items

[

And I guess the means to bolt them to your ship

All we know is they are Olive funded items and have a duration of 3 days.

Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Say, tell me your opinion on why it would work.

You know why those potest rooms and swears on the forum are there in the first place?

Because the community is ignored if we do it the "civilized" way. How many treads have there been against new content. How many demands have there been to fix and improve current gameplay/stability?

So as we cant see whats actually happening, you say.... Well way to dig your own grave on that statement. You just blandly admitted to NOT communicating with the people, something you should do as a head moderator.
You expected this reaction? Why make it hard for yourself.... communicate with us and avoid reactions like this.
So be it? So what, no information, no update, even after all of this? Jesus Christ man, what will it take for you to open your eyes?

Sorry vick, but as a head mod, you're no good.

Is too sad see a lot of people screaming for nothing. There is a simple solution:

Olive Items: Make that items last exactly the same as Premium Subcription: 30 days, plus It can be removed form one ship and install again in another

NON Olive Items: Same items as Olives but can use credits and points for purchase, make them last 15 days and can not be removed from a ship were is installed.

I think is a solution for both kind of players: Those that have money to expend in NF and/or don´t have much time, and also for those players that can be more thatn 6 hours every day playing NF.

The first group work in real life, get the money to buy to buy items.
The second group work IN live server to gather credits and points to buy items.

TO ALL PLAYERS: UNDERSTAND THIS
SDE is a company that needs money to survive, grow and keep the game running.

So, as I always purpose: STOP CRYING AND CRITIC UNDER YOU NARROW POINT OF VIEW.

How Many advertising do you see in NF site?. None?. Do we really expect that  a game without money income should be great and have no problems?.
Think before use absurd critism, nothing in life is free, learn that.

Finally, about the items improvment system: I think that will made the ships customizable to unprecedent levels. It´s a great idea and I like it.

I have communicated that there is more information to come on this, hopefully today or tomorrow but it will come from Randy not me.  When you have that then you will have a more comprehensive picture of how it might be introduced and run.  Then for those that want to join a civilised debate on the subject without screaming, shouting, flaming, insulting etc, there will be the opportunity to do so.  That may not change its introduction in the end but it may shape how.

No-one is ignoring concerns and the debate is being watched closely, when it is measured, informed and constructive.  The 'protests', blocking rooms, swearing and abuse being hurled around is certainly not having any effect on any potential  outcome.

if $DE would advertise on google, amazon, etc... they would get a bigger player base.  Out of that, they would get more income on existing items that won't be ruining the game, and they could easily work on fixing lag, crashing, and desync.

No offence to you, but all i'm reading is:

"LUBE UP GUYS, THIS MIGHT HURT A LITTLE, BUT YOU'RE GONNA GET IT THE GOOD WAY OR THE BAD."

As many people have said, any form of this feature is going to kill the game for a lot of people. That is what you should comminicate to SDE, as fast as possible.

Where are SDE in this discussion anyway? You"d think a big post like this is brought to their attention, and that, for the communities sake, they act on it asap?

It's like they don't realize that competing games are on the verge of release.

It's like they don't realize that we went from 4 servers to 1, and interest in the game is waning.

It's like they don't realize that this would receive a negative response from the community.

Remember Hackshield? Its like they don't...At all.

Even if they move forward with this, and later remove, it is unlikely the game will recover. But maybe at this point they're fine with that and that fits in with the business plan more fluently then a slower decline in player base and revenue.

I urge SDE to take the hint and not implement this AT ALL, otherwise the consequences for the game will be permanent and irreversible, much like the HackShield mess.

They are fully aware of this thread from the minute or two after it appeared and will take great interest in reasoned, calm debate on the subject.  A short wait for additional information for something that is only on the test server not the main server is where we are at.

You don't get it do you?  WE DON'T WANT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop ignoring us.  Delete what you've worked on, don't update it, don't tell us all about it.  Screw it all.  We don't want any part of it.  We don't want to know more about it.  We want it gone.  Absent.  Away.  Departed.  Vanished.  Not Here.  Dead.  Expired.  Cancelled.  Removed.  Erased.  Scrubbed.  Scrapped.  Scratched.  Expunged.  Rubbed Out.  Strikken.

Figure it out vick.  We are speaking.

How about asking us if we'd be interested in something before sending it to the test server and wasting time and money?  Has $DE considered that?
