How exactly did you measure dive times?
I'm pretty sure the IJN is unmatched in that department, did you start to clock when
submerging or when you really were submerged?
Same goes for the values you have for the other nations.

Wow, it looks really small in the harbour.

There is no difference inn the type of torp launchers and torps used in the ss3 and
ss4, they are the same... so the answer is no.

but if you go have a look on the ship tree line there are 2 ship slots after the ss4,
the torps and launchers you talk of could appear on these, if they are real and not
an error... just have to wait and see :)

Well I made the assumption that they might be able to be used on the SS4. I only have the
SS3 right now so maybe someone else can clarify it for us. The torps I'm referring to
though are definitely for a sub. The required level is 79 and it looks to be a remodeled
version of the tier 2 torp launcher.

Don't those tier 3 torps come with their own launcher?
Which pretty much would mean you can't use them on the SS4, as changing submarine weapons
isn't possible.

I made a mistake saying that the MN tier 2 torps are stronger then the IJN tier 2. I was
looking at the game info section and never realized that the MN are the only nation that
have a tier 3 torp listed for subs. So I guess that is the MN advantage in subs. They get
a tier 3 torp and it's just a tad stronger then the IJN tier 2.

Meow, if you have gunners(you should) use the pluton until you reach SS1. Outfit it
with AA and HH and help your team out by keeping aircraft and subs away from your
bbs. I just finished the exact same grind and its by far the best way to work your
way up to SS1 imo.
