  • Improve Roll the Dice

I suggest an improvement to the New sailor Dice Roll and with that something useful
to use your points for.

Like a slot machine - make it possible to increse the amount of points you're using
for each roll ... and with that increase the chances of getting a 12:

10 points: 1% chance of getting a 12
30 points: 3% chance of getting a 12
50 points: 5% chance of getting a 12
100 points: 7%
500 points: 10%
1.000 points: 12%

etc.

It shouldn't be to hard to profit off of this. Why not create rolling points or create
insanely high amounts of points required and then sell them in the store.

Wow, amazing to see this is still active. It is a good idea, but let's face it, this idea
was proposed in 2006 and NF has done noithing with it, so the chances of them
doing something now are remote, since obviously it would impact the sale of elites

Still, i recommend it

LOL guys. Nice necro work.

While the dice roll still has room for improvement, the suggestion by itself has merit.
Only until x amount of course, anything else will be suicidal to implement. I would
advise though against hoping too much. There are other areas of the game that are
to be fixed as well. Major areas take precedence over minor ones.

Deserves a bump, although original poster's numbers way too cheap for +12. Points
would then have market value and one of the two most annoying game features
would be eliminated (crew death being the other). Almost 300 reccs but still likely to
be ignored.

Nice Idea but i would change it to something like this

5000 points: .5% chance of getting a 12
10,000 points: 1% chance of getting a 12
20,000 points: 2% chance of getting a 12
30,000 points: 3%
50,000 points: 5%
i wouldnt go any higher then that

there is but isnt a neut market there is more of a demand in Ready to go crews
eg:- 4fps & 4 bombers for cv crew (avg lvl 45-50)
or 4 engys 4 reps 1 scout 2 gunners for bb crew avg (lv 50-55)

i get kinda fustrated with rolling sailors, in the end i just go and buy an elite crew
mainly coz my luck sucks

If there's one thing I would change, it's to remove the need to manually click again,
and again, and again, and again, for hours and hours until you find something you
want.

Would be much better if there was a window where you can specify how many times
you want the dice to roll (something like the vet conversion window we have now),
click ok, and let the system do it for you.

You will also be able to instruct it that, whenever a particular stat comes up, the
rolling pauses and you're asked if you would like to keep the sailor or not.
(similar to how the vet rolling window stops and asks if you want to continue
whenever you get a successful conversion)

This should make rolling sailors a more pleasant experience. But god forbid the old
timers will be whining that it takes skill away from the game, because people would
no longer be required to sit and click.
