I suggest an improvement to the New sailor Dice Roll and with that something useful
to use your points for.

Like a slot machine - make it possible to increse the amount of points you're using
for each roll ... and with that increase the chances of getting a 12:

10 points: 1% chance of getting a 12
30 points: 3% chance of getting a 12
50 points: 5% chance of getting a 12
100 points: 7%
500 points: 10%
1.000 points: 12%

etc.

Wow this has been on here for 2 years. Shows what our 12 dollars a month goes to. SDE fails.

An old suggestion. But if the odds really are 0.04% for a 12 in any 1 stat like stated in
previous posts then math needs to change.

This is how much probability you would have if the system just saves you the time rolling.
(math used: P=(1 - (P(not)^n)) if n is number of trials.)

10points = 00.04% to get a 12 (Checked once for each stat)
50points = 00.20% to get a 12 (Checked once for each stat)
100points = 00.40% to get a 12 (Checked once for each stat)
500points = 01.98% to get a 12 (Checked once for each stat)
1000points = 03.92% to get a 12 (Checked once for each stat)
5000points = 18.13% to get a 12 (Checked once for each stat)
10000points = 32.97% to get a 12 (Checked once for each stat)

Of course this would yeild alot better sailors when taking multiple stats into account
(like Super Seaman) since you basicaly roll each stat individually and just save the best
result. This is not something you can do when just spending 10pts 1000 times in a row. It
would also result in sailors getting 11 in most other stats when spending alot of points
if the system uses the same probability math Ive used.

This is probably the best idea I've seen so far, for game improvement, it's not asking
too much, and it virtually enliminates one of the headaches of this game.

It might've been a good idea, as long as there was a high 'limit' on the max bid you can
place, like raise your chances only to 5-10%, but it then would be way too easy and the
+12/+15 would become too common and the neut market would completelly die out. Therefore I
am not going to recommend it.
