Hey bro. The UK has been there and done that. We controlled the world through it's oceans
and we were and have been the only Hyperpower.

As for you "winning" the Revolutionary War. It couldn't have been done with out Spanish,
French or Dutch involvement. Since Britain was fighting them on both sides of the
Atlantic, the balance of it all swung in your favour.

It was Spanish involvement in the Southern US Flank that secured it for you there.
It was a French naval victory at Chesapeake that forced Cornwallis to surrender at Yorktown.
It was those two along with the dutch that supplied your glorious armies with everything
to deafeat the British.

In the end, every nations "Golden Age" comes to an end. Ours steadily declined with the
dismantling of the Empire and a new power came about. You! Your age will be over soon and
a new power will emerge. China & India look to be strong competitors, but WW3 will decide
that.

quote of mysharona
"^

ok, bigger isnt better

the walking part shows how tough our marines are :)

nobody has attacked my assult ship/marines/sbs/ocean/lynx yet

we won the falkland war, and pretty much every war we've been in

US with all your tech and bigness, have been catastrophic in wars alone...vietnam
fail, late arrivers in WW1 and 2, made a mess of iraq etc etc etc "

I have no idea what you are smoking. We (the United States) kicked the living crap
out of you in the Revolution with nothing more than farmers with hunting rifles. We
went from a ragtag colony to the only surviving superpower left on Earth. In the
Falklands you lost several ships to the Argentine air force (which used outdated
French jets), which is just embarassing.

Concerning World Wars 1 and 2, we saved your hindquarters both times. World
War 1 would have gone on for many more bloody years if we didnt start pouring
200,000 troops into France a month.
World War two, the Germans had you by the sack. They only made a blunder by
stopping their attacks on RAF bases and going after cities. If they hadn't done that,
England would have been invaded by Germany. Our lend-lease equipment and food
shipments allowed you to fight and not starve to death. By the end of the war, 75%
of what the British military was using was American.

Vietnam.. well.. that was a political blunder. However, I personally wouldn't call it a
defeat. We literally burnt the country to the ground and slaughtered hundreds of
thousands of the people (no I'm not boasting, simply point out facts). The only
reason we withdrew was because the war lost support at home.

Now, concering present day. Yes, bigger is better. The fact that we can field 10
nuclear supercarriers, hundreds of thousands of troops, and reach anywhere in the
world in a matter of hours, DOES make us better.

Call me an arrogant, self-centered yank all you want, however I maintain the proud
statement that we saved the world multiple times, when no one else had the
capability to. You have the right to your opinion (not legally considering this is a
private forum, although I maintain the belief that it is an inherent right) however I
do maintain the right to disagree with it.

short version for all those people who do not want to read my wall of text....
AMERICA %*^& YEAH!!!!!

the fighting old chum.

Afghanistan - 9,500
Iraq - 45,000
Gulf War - 50,000

Say hello to your greatest ally.
