Honestly, I'm simply going to point out that; over the time of internet gaming since the beginning of internet gaming, very large patches of a large amount of game-altering content are taboo for a reason. I personally am not quite sure what they were thinking when they decided to release all of this in one entire patch.
As was noted, it goes in and adds content, then goes back in and changes that content. Who exactly was the genius that included that in a one-session patch? The computer is an idiot. We know what you attempted to do, but your computer, sadly, is not blessed with the same logic as ours. You have to take it in baby steps.
You 'never' put addition of content, and modification of content, in the same session patch. Period. Unless you want to cause problems for some users, of course.
Manual Patch Note: After attempting to install the manual patch multiple times, I ran a debug diagnostic while it installed. After the manual patch installs, it is able to confirm that the content has been patched, but fails to update the EUFUNS Updater. Taking a shot in the dark, when you run the updater, it hasn't recognized that you've already updated, and so it downloads the latest tidbits again. However, since these tidbits are already installed on your system, the tidbits downloaded are simply added into the directory, also known as a ghost 'compatibility' file. The game launcher then launchers your game, but when it goes to read the data file, it goes "Oh my, he has 2 of these files. " and registers corrupt. Shot in the dark.
Other then that, the manual patches contents themselves look in order. However, developers, I'd check to see if: Layout.bin, Location.Data, and all the Engine32.cab are correct. Manual Patches setup.ini looks correct, and the contents of data1.cab & data2.cab are intact. Perhaps the recurring issue is not so much the program files as it is the updater? Just a theory.
And yes, SDEnternet, installers themselves can be extracted, as well as .cab, .bin, .hdr, .dll, and many others.
