it all depends on play style

if you leveled through renown repulse hood (without dunk) then your techniques
macth the vanny better than the L1
if you leveles through revenge QE KGV POW then L1 is the ship to go
if you went renwon line using dunk and nelly then L1 is the way to go

i say this because those ships prior to the BB4s help you master the usefull
techniques for those ships.

if you idd both then just use the one you are more comfortable with.

as i always tell myself, it doesnt matter how much you suck its all about how much
fun your having.

We need to 1v1.

I think Vanny is more suitable for skilled players who can maneuver well to take advantage
of the slightly better range (about 2 mm on screen).

And yes, the 30 degree gun has shorter hang time, so it's easier to hit a moving target,
this is really important. Plus the reload time is 1s shorter too.

Furthermore, Vanny is a bit thinner than L1 which means more chance of dodge shells and
bombs.

Finally, people often underestimate Vanny, so there will be more chance for pew pew. Just
remember "Rushing is a no no for Vanny"

i have to say L1 is better because it can go 44 and it has much stronger firepower. The
range advantage gap is easily eliminated by OHing. As others have mentioned before,
L1 can take down bb5s easily while vanny cant. Also vanny with 16" does have more
firepower but it lowers ur speed to 40 and it requires you to catch the enemy off guard
to get in range which is not always easy in certain situation.

The Vanguard is my favorite ship as well, my best performing ship as well.

To counter the "Oh noes, I can't stand up to a rush" argument, don't stand up to it... you
got 42knts of running on you, run and widdle away at your enemy.

Not durable? Pick your spot... don't play it like a L1 and you won't need to be durable.
Be patient and take your time.

Poor AA? So you're suggesting AA is just naturally better on the L1? There's no huge
difference to be honest.

That Vanguard is a great ship, don't diss just because you don't like it yourself.

the extra range wont really help if you get rushed
and 15" shells seem so weak compared to L1's 16s

i've seen an AWed 2 gun L1 kill off 2 BB5s and 2 BB4s (including my vanny)
i felt so impotent XD

its how you play it that makes a ship good or not. i prefer my vanny most of the time
over my L1 i just like the play style more

Vanny is my best ship, i prefer to play my vanny over any bb5/BB6/BB4.

It might not be the best, but its speed and Acc +Its got quite good hitting power if you
land a good shot. Its a challenge to use and a fun one at that.

Enjoy the ships you use, who cares if their the best

and Vanny sucks in GB period, the only ship YOU ranged are L1 and Rich, so your
argument for *great range* is just funny as hell.

it's a KM like ship with crappy AA and eaven less durable then a darn H39...IMO

L1 beats Vanny hands down, and yes I do have both ships and yes I did play them
for long time, and NO I diden't suck I acctually did fine in both ships...

but mear fact is Vanny isen't what it should be, and it NOT balanced so stop
suggesting it for USAGE IMO -.-
