IJN BB Guide

I am writing this guide, because I see a lot of random questions about the IJN BBs.
The Stickies we have are out-dated, and some of the new guides are a bit.... ugly to
say the least. So here is a simple guide of IJN BBs.

I also do not own a Ise, so I will not comment on that ship.

Order of Appearance
Crew
Kongo
12.2"L vs 14"N
Fuso
14"L vs 16"D
Nagato
Yamato
Super Yamato

Hey Boom, currently in Kongo

Nothing real special, been trying different setups and I found one that I like alot last
night,

I took off all bulge but left on 0.2 belt (havent had torp problems in a while..) so with
3bindsLHE, 4.7AA and full crew i go 26~44. Using AA and speed I managed to get in
and out quickly and blind the enemy.

My only gripe right now is the spread of the 12.2L's with my BO at lvl 60 and
gunners at lvl 57 (oyo screwed them up.. training a 2nd BO on and off..tsuki doesnt
compare to a BB ><) I can spot my shells at max range, but most of the time i get an
inconsistent spread. One salvo it's tight, the next it's like shooting a shotgun.. Was
just wondering what lvl does the spread of the 12.2L's (and after that the 14N's)
spread come together?

Thanks for help,

Krauts08

I've done 190k at level with my nagato.

IT IS A WORTHY SHIP

but thing is as outcast said, it plays different strenght than the Fuso.

Where fuso is outranged by nearly all the bb2, nagato outrange them all safe 2 (vanny and
the 11" bissy setup). Where fuso is thin, naggy is a fatty. So anyone with a tad of brain
should think: ok. I got more range, but if a ship gets in range im easier to hit. lets
make sure im not in range.

Now that said, maybe it isnt a bad idea getting familiarized with the naggy if its your
first bb line, as the playstyle is lot closer to what you will do with your yammy. Even
better, id suggest some training in a B65.

But i do agree the at level spread issue piss me off. but that might be because im used to
my Nebby block like salvos. and fuso having more barrel still scored a couple hit with a
well aimed salvo.

As with yammy, there is a reason for the outstanding AA. If you want to rush it, better
blind it if it outranges you. otherwise slingshoting works pretty fine.

the second set of 16"s atm are worse then the first set by quite a bit, though i think they'll be modifyed to a 30degree
max angle so to rival the rp12s, 14.96" in shell hang time and damage (and range), for the cost of lower speed.

i still wish they'l inplant the tosa..
