Basically we remove the AI Controlled ship movement and change it to the player.


New Keys:
- (near backspace): slow down escort

= (near backspace): speed up escort (Note Escorts would still not Overheat)

0 (near backspace): turn firing on and off.

9 (near backspace): selects escort (similar to planes) to set direct of travel (Like your main ship), right clicking a ship would follow it, just like if you click someone else's ship with your own. Canceled by selecting a plane (1-8), pressing `(under Esc) or left clicking the screen.

New feature: Similar to torpedo warnings, if an escort comes within a 2-3" range of another ship, red text and a voice warning will be displayed to the owning player.
This is doable proven with the current distance based sound warnings for aircraft and torpedoes.

New feature: Escorts will automatically say in team chat: "PlayerNameABC (Escort): Crossing PlayerNameCBA" whenever they come withing 1" of another ship.

Also doable based on the distance based sound warning, changing sound to outputting a message should be code-able.

could we make escort move faster when crossing... cause I always got the case that my team escort hide below my ship for let say 10 sec... -.-

Oh man the accidental TKing of friendlies would be fun with that.  V2 if they actually add something like this in the future, you play sub. I'll use a similar ship as an escort so when I TK you on purpose, I'll just blame my escort :)

We already have the " = " key to control cease fire / open fire.

The next improvement should be a throttle control.

And if they get real creative, a take over feature.  If your main ship gets sunk, you can command your escort.

Im kind of against the takeover, just because of the fact that its kind of like 2 lives except a smaller ship. But i do like the throttle control, would be especially useful if its faster than you.
