Hi,
I am new on the Tenny just go it now and was sad to find out that no new canoncs till lvl 68..thoe Mk7 14" right? So for now i have to stick to the Mk10 14" from nevada so i am bit frustrated with bad spread. So i have questions. Whne you compare Mk10 and Mk7 14"s which one have better spread i really need some good spread so i am interested in that...Soon my gunners will be 68 so i will get those mk7 14"...also I have aviable for now Mk10, Mk10L, and D which of those 3 Mk10 have better spread? Also i have read that double barell 16" for remodel tenny have good spread so if i look now to my cannons u kave double 14" so if double barell 16" are good will that also mean for those old nevada double 14"?

the lvl 58 mk10 14"s have a much spread than the lvl 68 Mk7 14"s

if you are having trouble with the spread on the nevada/tenny41, you should take advantage of this current event and add boost/vets/experts to your gunners.

The spread of each gun set (lvl58 14"s, lvl68 14"s, lvl 70 16"s) is different, even with high level gunners.

lvl58 mk10 14"s have better spread than the 16"s, which have better spread than the second set of 14"s

Within each set of guns, you'll get the L, D, and the "regular" version, N, options.  L guns have the most range, D guns have the least range, and the N guns are in the middle.  (The reload time is also longest for Ls, shortest for Ds.)

That being said, the D guns will natually have better spread simply because the shells do not travel as far (think about a shotgun spread).  But in BB play, range is so critical that you almost always should use the L guns (with Light shells).

Again, if you are having trouble with the first set of 14"s, do some AA in games to increase the experts on your sailors, and use vet conversion events in the future to increase your vets.  You may be able to get boost/vet/expert items from this current event too.

On a side note, if you plan on going far with your BB crew, don't over-vet your gunners.

Ah thnx ond long answer...I have one more question veterans/boosting how it is done i mean i know standard way go and try to convert expert to vet..but if it fails i lose expert so i need to recruit some beginers which i think is bad to lose expert and put one beginer but good if i menage to convert it than is ok so could you tell me litle bit more about that boostin(what it is, how to do) and converting to veterans

EDIT:  I got Elite sailors so i was thinking to apply them now to BO and two gunners....i see that they will grove faster 20%...how much that effect will last??till i go one level up or more?

I`m just going to clarify the general terminology for you so we don`t get confused.

Boost = premium sailor.  It`s available from events if you are lucky or by purchase with $$.  It increases the ability of your sailor by 20%. It can be applied at any level - the result will be the same.  It stays with the sailor forever.

Elite sailors can once again be won in events, or purchased with $$ or from other players who have them.  Those sailors (elite engine/fighter/repair) come with a +13 stat.  This is not like the boost, it is an actual sailor so you will have to level it from scratch.  A boost can be applied to this sailor to further increase its abilities.

Experts->vets.  Yes if the conversion fails, you lose the experts and have to go back to recruits.  But consider that if you are able to convert 10experts(skilled)-> 10 veterans(officers), the performance increase from just 10 vets is equivalent to that of 40 experts.

If you are going to try to convert, at least purchase a premium account.  Also wait for a "conversion event" where the rate of success is increased.  Combining a premium account with a conversion event is the best time.  Also it's great if you can have extra expert packs(available from events or by $$) to refill any conversion failures so you don't have a huge drop off in performance.  Generally if you have premium account + event, you should be able to convert 100 experts into 50-70 veterans(**when that sailors has zero veterans to start).  Even if you can't refill the experts, you performance will be better.  Think of it this way - If you get 3 conversions out of 10 tries, you are already better off than before.  Please note that once you get close to or over 100 veterans, it becomes more and more difficult to convert to vets and at that point you must have a premium account + event to have any success.

boosting means using the Premium Sailor item, which increases sailor ability by 20%.  You would have to get this thru events or buy it from the store.

as for expert to veteran conversion, the lower number of veteran you have, the easier it is to convert.  ie.  the chance of a successful conversion from 10 to 20 vets is a lot higher than 90 to 100.   To have a 100% conversion rate, you will need to use the Veteran Items

It is actually a good idea to NOT get a new ship the instant your BO can use it. It might take a few levels, but wait until your gunners have the level for the ship's intended guns (their L version which even comes 2 levels later).

You could do this more easily levelling up two BOs (from the same nation), on different BB lines. Always take the gunners with you when you switch between the lines - that ensures that they will be ahead of the BOs.

Dual 16" have better spread, range and maximum damage. They fire 1 shot less per turret though.

...And I'd recommend it over the BB2 Trip 14" any time.

lol o boy, this is exactly why hobbit map is not good for new players.  You get to lvl70 so fast without learning much about the game.

anyways, back on topic.  Basic growth on a sailor is the stats you see on your sailors. Premium Sailor items are called Boosts because it increases the growth and abilities of a sailor: accuracy, reload, repair...etc.   It does not matter what level you boost the sailor.  Boosted sailors do NOT gain extra exp

You will need to keep the tenn41 to remodel it to tenn45.  You lose a bit of credits selling ships, so I would suggest not doing that for CA/BBs for you.

Yes, shooting down enemy planes will get you more credits.  ONE fighter will not get you anywhere.  For an ECV, you'll need a cv crew consisting mostly fighter pilots to make it effective.  For your information, there are 7 support slots on the ECV.  Find 6 or 7 fighters if you wish to be more efficient.
