Why? Because it would make it easier to ignore those BBs who say "lol don't lie i've been watching you all launch bombers all game" when I have not launched a single bomber the entire game, and that same BB hid behind me and our BB line half the game.

One box disables Fleet chat, the other disables Squad chat. I doubt he wants to disable those if any.

And Message filter only disallows public chat, it doesnt get rid of the idiotic stuff people say in team chat.

There are some fleets that I would race toward disabling fleet chat.
