Winner: Maryland. 3 more shells is more important, especially if you're working with an at-level crew, than slightly more range. If you're running a high level crew those shots will group together even better but Indiana may be an option for rushing with its slightly higher speed and range.

Torion has all the specs right, although wether you value firepower over range and speed is up to you. Also, the high angle of the Maryland is 40, whereas the Indianas is 45, if that matters to you.

They also have the same number of supports and turning force, Indiana has the famous Sodak AAW for what thats worth and slightly more DP though worse submergence.

Imo they actually come out pretty equal if youre the sort that values range more than raining shells, although as you can see from the range chart on the forums here (Comparing Sodak/Maryland to the Nocar/Indiana) the range isnt a huge improvement and does come at the cost of some additional hangtime I would assume (based on the distance + angle).

Plain overall outclassed. The sodak overall performs better. Maryland preforms very well. Missouri is pretty good but like the Iowa outclassed by most in range by the other BB4s and EBB5s.

The Indiana, unless your trying to collect them all (lol, pokemon) is one to avoid.


Maryland and New York are still my favorites of the USN EBBs.

Using the Maryland right now.  No complaints at all.  Plays just like a Colorodo, but with 150% more firepower and it can take a hit.

Havent used the Indiana, but on paper it looks like a faster NoCar.  Though that just means its a slower SoDak with higher angled guns.

Maryland its a great ship... a lvl 75 monty...

for indy i would consider using the triples from Sodak and just use it as a higher lvl-boosted dp SoDak.

another configuration could be using only the 2 front main guns, maybe playable as an AWhore ship? could be? with US terrible deck armor?

well, its a chance... i might get one some day, but it would be just for fun&test..

to lvl a crew you should use:

atlanta (AA) > Cleveland (AA) > Baltimore (AA or Gunship) > ALask... (HELL NO! just kidding... keep on baltimore up to the Colo) > Colorado > MARYLAND > MISSOURI > Monty > Nebby.

maybe getting an EBB1 or a PCA (don't need to buy a PBB just for a couple of lvls) to help in those "long" lvls from 58 to 65

 I run mine with 12 in deck and 75 bulge kit only goes 34 knots but will bounce L2 shells . lol
i use the lvl 60 14 new york guns . not getting a lot of att ( about 50k a game ) but its fun to watch L2 and QV go" omfg " lol

OK im gonna way in with some in the field experiance.

The indiana is by far alot better in practice than paper.
It is much like the Nc but can take a hit better.
i am usinga 120 crew on it so maybe its that. but with max ability crew its a beast.

its range and dammage are able to put bb5 under in 2-3 hits and ots fast and small and nimble.
in my last game i sank a h39/ a le havre and a maryland.
in another game i had highest score at 150k attack.

It's nit the ship every one is making it out to be. I love it
