Cracko

This is a guide showing basic concepts about how to make a proper BB line.

Front part of the BBs are the 2 guns, rear is the 1 gun, that shows the direction the BB is moving.

Pics have been edited for language, i hope noone is ofended this time and the pics are inside forum rules.

 

 

1- Basic formation.


 

 


2-Example: 7 pro players vs 9 unexperienced players.

 

 

 

 


3-Make line, don't stay back like a player that doesn't do anything for his team.

 

 

 

 


4-Line has to cover all the map.

Quite nice.

I think you need to specify that the line should only be made up of ships able to linefight. Lines in battles are also smaller (fewer ships) because of that. Ships not able to linefight (that don't have the range) very often stay in the middle of the map looking for an opportunity to attack.

i can only name few... 

H44, H39, Montana, hmm Iowa, Super Yamato, yamato, Stanlingrad, SN BB5 (sorry forget the name sometimes and im to lazy to check it up ^_^),  Kaiser, Nebby, Amagi, SN BB6 (same reason lol), L2(?) mostly Non AW

just add or correct me if im wrong...


and hopefully players will do this in gb but only .5% line fighting is there... but nice guide

He has a point.


The last time before this that a line fighting guide was posted on the main NF Forum was 2006 if I remember right. Between then and now they were only posted on fleet forums when needed. Linefighting was just something everyone learned before shared exp basicly doubled promoting the current gameplay mechanics leaching has promoted.

You used to actually had to play decently to get anywhere level wise...

The only line fighters are the KMs and probably the SNs, The montana and the H39 are slightly ranged by the L2 (L2 having the lvl 110 guns, wich have almost the same range as the lvl 100s), The L2 is ranged by the H44/Kaiser. IJN BB5 has same range as L2 with the exeption of several range jumps made by guns accuracy. At least this is what i see in-game.
