Hellester

With Norm's help i got the new patch and I can play but the updater still says it fails.  Any suggestions?  I'm afraid this might screw me up down the road and I kinda like the auto update

Apparently, the FTP server is down.


I'll check to see if I have the 1011 on this PC here and upload it.

Try deleting this file and then run the ENFUNS Installer. (Located under downloads on this site)

Should be something like version 1011 or something similar.

(By the way, some simple trivia, as long as the updater is loading properly, this files date will also be the exact time you last launched the updater in your local (System) time.)

Im having the same problem here. I tried to do what Norm told, but it didnt work for me. Almost giving up to play it after 6 years gaming...

If it says the updater failed you can still go on to log into the game if you have the patch.  Have a look at Norm's links which has a very easy two click solution to downloading the patch.

Its weird because I can download the 1430 patch from alternative sites

It then says that patch has successfully updated but the ENFUNS has failed to update and I have critical error

this is after uninstalling and deleting my resistry x 2 , running cc cleaner and checking my internet security settings

wth is going on and why wont ENFUNS work for me?

 

What can be done to fix this so I/we can play NF again?

The updater is a separate program that helps us to keep our navyfield software up to date (it automatically loads the latest patches and stuff)  if it dont' work and we have the latest software we can continue on and play the game.  so just bypass the failure.
